Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus VivoBook Max X541SA — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (A31N1601)
This is a 10.8V, 2200mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Asus VivoBook Max X541SA and X541UV series laptops. It carries OEM part numbers A31N1601, A31LP4Q, 0B110-00440000, and 0B110-00440100. If the original cell is dead, swollen, or no longer holding charge, this is the direct swap.
- X541 series compatibility: The X541SA, X541UV, X541SA-3F, X541SC-1A, and 257 additional X541 variants share the same connector pinout, voltage rail, and BMS handshake protocol — one SKU covers the full lineup without adapter or modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the X541 platform. The BMS communicated correctly with the BIOS, accepted charge without thermal fault, and held voltage through discharge without early cutoff.
- First-cycle recalibration on the X541SA: After installation, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.
Why the X541SA BIOS reports poor battery health immediately after replacement
The X541 platform stores battery health data in EEPROM on the original cell's BMS board. When a new cell is installed, the BIOS reads no matching history and flags the battery as degraded or unknown. This is a data mismatch, not a fault with the replacement cell. Running one complete discharge-to-hibernate followed by a full uninterrupted charge gives the BIOS enough cycle data to recalculate health accurately. After two to three full cycles, the reported health figure stabilises.
Laptop shuts down at 20–30% remaining after battery swap
This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still referencing the old cell's discharge curve. The new cell hits a voltage cliff under combined CPU and display load at a point the IC hasn't yet mapped. The laptop interprets that voltage drop as empty and cuts power before the actual capacity is used. Run three full discharge-to-hibernate and full recharge cycles to recalibrate the fuel gauge against the new cell's curve. After calibration, the gauge tracks accurately and the early shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
The BIOS shows my new battery as 0% or "unknown" right after I installed it — is the cell faulty?
No — this is an EEPROM data mismatch. The X541 BIOS reads health history stored on the old cell's BMS, and the new cell has no matching record yet. Run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That single learn cycle writes fresh data and clears the unknown status.
My X541SA battery stops charging at 80% and won't go higher — what's blocking it?
This is a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a fault with the replacement cell. Asus ships some X541 units with Battery Health Charging enabled in MyASUS or BIOS, which caps charge at 80% to reduce cell stress. Open MyASUS, go to Battery Health Charging, and switch it to Full Capacity Mode. The cell will then charge to 100%.
Windows is showing the wrong Wh rating for this battery — it says 32Wh or 44Wh instead of 23.76Wh
The Wh figure Windows displays is pulled from the EEPROM on the BMS, which records the rated capacity of the original cell — not the installed one. This is a data readout mismatch, not a sign the cell is performing below spec. After two to three full discharge and recharge cycles, the fuel gauge IC recalculates against the actual chemistry and the reported Wh figure updates to match the installed cell.
