Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus ZenBook Flip 14 UX461UA Series — 11.52V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (C31N1714)
This is an 11.52V, 4850mAh (55.87Wh) lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Asus ZenBook Flip 14 UX461UA-M00540 and over 80 related UX461 convertible ultrabook models. It replaces OEM part numbers C31N1714 and 0B200-02750000. The cell fits the slim 4.10mm battery bay without modification.
- UX461 platform compatibility: The UX461UA, UX461FN, UX461UN, and UX461UA-E1087R share the same 11.52V three-cell architecture and identical connector pinout. The BMS expects the same voltage rails and communication protocol across the entire UX461 family, so one cell covers the range.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on a UX461UA unit and monitored BMS handshake, charge curve, and cutoff behaviour. The cell accepted a full charge without triggering protection cutoff, and the BMS reported normal charge state across the cycle.
- Post-install calibration on the UX461UA: After installing, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that commonly appears after a cell swap on this platform.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after replacement
The UX461UA BIOS reads EEPROM data embedded in the battery's BMS chip. When a new cell is installed, that EEPROM data doesn't yet match what the BIOS learned from the original battery, so it flags health as poor or unknown. This isn't a fault with the replacement cell. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate, then a full uninterrupted charge to 100% — the BIOS learn cycle rewrites its baseline against the new cell and the health warning clears.
ZenBook Flip shutting down at 20–30% charge shown
This happens when the fuel gauge IC on the old battery was miscalibrated and the reading carried over to the BIOS estimate. Under full CPU and display load, the actual cell voltage drops below the cutoff threshold before the percentage gauge reaches zero — the laptop shuts down abruptly at what appears to be 20–30%. The fix is a full calibration cycle: discharge to forced hibernate, then charge to 100% without interruption. After two to three cycles the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell's actual voltage curve and the shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
Windows shows the new battery as 0% and won't charge — why?
The fuel gauge IC on the UX461UA needs a reference point to read the new cell correctly. Until it runs a calibration cycle, it can report 0% or refuse to show charge progress. Plug in the charger, leave it connected for a full uninterrupted charge to 100%, then drain to hibernate cutoff once. After that first complete cycle the gauge IC locks onto the new cell's voltage curve and the reading stabilises.
My ZenBook Flip shows a completely different Wh rating in system info after installing this battery — is the cell wrong?
The Wh figure displayed in Windows or HWiNFO pulls from EEPROM data embedded in the battery's BMS chip, not from a live measurement. The EEPROM on a replacement cell can carry a rated value that differs from the original OEM figure due to chemistry revision or cell sourcing — this doesn't mean the capacity is wrong. The actual energy delivered matches the rated 55.87Wh on this cell. Run one full charge-discharge cycle and the system's reported design capacity will often update to reflect the new cell's EEPROM data.
Charge stops at exactly 80% and won't go higher — is this a faulty cell?
This is almost always a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a cell fault. Asus ships several ZenBook models with a Battery Health Charging mode enabled in MyASUS or the BIOS, which caps charge at 80% to reduce calendar ageing. Open the MyASUS app, go to Battery Health Charging, and switch the mode from Balanced or Maximum Lifespan to Full Capacity. If MyASUS isn't installed, check the BIOS under Advanced → Battery Health Charging and disable the limit there.
