Fits Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay P6 portable speakers, replacing OEM part number C129D1.
7.4V, 2600mAh lithium-ion cell restores full wireless speaker runtime on a single charge.
Connector seats into the speaker's internal battery slot with a simple push-fit orientation.
We bench-tested the cell in a P6 unit; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion without fault codes.
Discharge the speaker below 20% capacity at least monthly before recharging to prevent fuel gauge drift on the Li-ion cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay P6 — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (C129D1)

This is a 7.4V, 2600mAh Li-ion battery for the Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay P6 portable Bluetooth speaker. It replaces OEM part C129D1 (also cross-referenced as 2INR19/66). Fit models include BeoPlay P6, 11400, and 1140026.

  • BeoPlay P6 compatibility: The P6, 11400, and 1140026 all run on the same 7.4V cell platform with identical connector orientation and BMS communication. Swapping to this battery requires no wiring changes — the fuel gauge handshake initialises on first charge.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a P6 unit. The BMS accepted the pack without fault flags, cell balancing kicked in correctly at top-of-charge, and the protection circuit tripped cleanly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • Monthly discharge cycle for the P6: The P6 typically sits on a desk or shelf and gets topped off constantly. Let the speaker drain below 20% at least once a month before recharging — this prevents fuel gauge drift and slows capacity fade on the Li-ion cell caused by continuous shallow cycling.

Audio distorting before the battery indicator reaches empty on the P6

When a Li-ion cell ages, internal resistance rises. Under the combined current draw of the amplifier and Bluetooth radio at moderate-to-high volume, terminal voltage sags below what the amplifier rail needs — even if the reported charge level still shows 20–30%. The amplifier clips because it can't pull enough clean voltage, and you hear distortion before the speaker shuts off. A fresh cell with lower internal resistance holds terminal voltage stable under the same load. After fitting this battery, run it through one full discharge before judging audio quality at volume.

P6 won't wake from USB-C after sitting unused for several weeks

A deeply discharged Li-ion cell can drop below the minimum acceptance voltage for USB-C Power Delivery negotiation — the charger and speaker fail to handshake, so charging never starts and the speaker appears dead. This is not a fault with the port or the charger. Connect the P6 to a standard 5V USB-A source first, which bypasses PD negotiation and trickle-charges the cell back above ~2.5V per cell. Once the pack recovers to that threshold, switch to the USB-C charger and complete a full charge cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BeoPlay P6 shows a full charge but the audio cuts out after about an hour of listening — is this the battery?

Yes. A degraded Li-ion cell loses usable capacity while the fuel gauge still reads optimistic percentages, because the gauge calibrates to the original cell's discharge curve. The speaker's BMS shuts audio down when terminal voltage drops below the safe floor — which now happens much earlier than the indicator suggests. Fit a new cell and run one complete discharge cycle to let the fuel gauge recalibrate to the new battery's actual capacity.

Bluetooth keeps dropping on the P6 when I turn the volume up past 60–70% — this didn't happen when the speaker was new.

The amplifier and Bluetooth radio both draw current simultaneously, and at high volume the combined spike causes voltage sag on a weakened cell. When terminal voltage dips, the radio subsystem loses stable power first — it's drawing less current than the amp but is more sensitive to voltage instability — and the Bluetooth link drops. The amplifier itself may still be running, which is why audio sometimes crackles rather than cutting entirely. A fresh 2600mAh cell at 7.4V holds voltage stable under that combined load; test at full volume after one full charge cycle on the new battery.

My P6 has been in a bag unused for two months and now the USB-C charger does nothing — no LED, no response.

The cell has likely self-discharged below the USB-C Power Delivery minimum acceptance voltage, so the PD handshake between the charger and speaker never completes. Plug the P6 into a basic 5V USB-A port — a phone charger or USB hub — for 15–20 minutes to push the cell above the recovery threshold of roughly 2.5V per cell. Once the indicator LED responds, move to the USB-C charger and complete a full charge. If the LED never activates on USB-A, the cell has deep-discharged beyond recovery and replacement is the next step.
