Fits VIVO I530, VIVO I589, VIVO K118, and VIVO K119 smartphones; replaces OEM part BK-BL-5C.
3.7V and 750mAh capacity delivers adequate power for voice and messaging on this compact phone.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot; locking tab sits flush against the device frame.
We bench tested this cell against a discharged OEM pack; the BMS accepted the charge cycle without fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BBK VIVO I530 / I589 / K118 / K119 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BK-BL-5C)

This is a 3.7V, 750mAh Li-ion cell built to the BK-BL-5C specification. It fits the BBK VIVO I530, I589, K118, and K119, plus three additional VIVO models sharing the same battery footprint. If the original cell no longer holds a charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly, this is the direct swap.

  • VIVO I530 / I589 / K118 / K119 platform fit: These models run on the same 3.7V power rail and share the BK-BL-5C connector layout and cell dimensions (53.00 × 33.90 × 5.70mm). The BMS handshake is consistent across this VIVO platform, so one cell revision covers the full group.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the VIVO I530 platform. The BMS accepted charge without cutoff errors, and cell voltage held stable at 3.7V nominal throughout the test sequence.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle before normal use. The phone's fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — one complete cycle lets it map the new cell correctly before high-current charging begins.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the VIVO I530 after a cell swap

The VIVO I530's fuel gauge IC stores a discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, the stored curve no longer matches actual cell voltage under load. The modem or screen pulls current, cell voltage sags below the shutdown threshold before the gauge reaches 0%, and the phone cuts out. One full discharge-to-charge cycle without interruption forces the coulomb counter to rebuild the curve against the new cell. After that cycle, shutdowns at 20–30% typically stop.

Phone warm near the battery during the first charge on the replacement cell

A new Li-ion cell arrives with slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. During the first charge cycle, the charge IC pushes current into that higher-impedance cell, and some energy converts to heat rather than stored charge. This is normal and reduces after two or three cycles as the cell's impedance settles. If warmth persists beyond the third charge, check that the charge IC is not stuck in fast-charge mode — drop to a 5V/1A charger and confirm skin temperature falls below 40°C.

Frequently Asked Questions

The VIVO I530 shows the wrong battery percentage after I put in the new BK-BL-5C cell — is the battery faulty?

The battery is not faulty. The phone's fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve it learned from the old cell, so the percentage reading is off from the start. Run one complete discharge — let the phone drain until it shuts off on its own — then charge it to 100% without interruption. That single cycle gives the coulomb counter enough data to recalibrate against the new cell's actual voltage curve.

The VIVO I530 won't power on after the BK-BL-5C battery sat in storage for a few months — what happened?

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if voltage dropped below roughly 2.5V, the BMS has locked the cell out to prevent damage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. Most VIVO charger ICs will trickle current into the locked-out cell until voltage recovers to the point where the BMS releases and normal charging resumes. If the screen shows nothing after 30 minutes, try a different cable and confirm the charger outputs at least 5V/1A.

Fast charging stopped working on my VIVO I589 after fitting this replacement cell — it only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the phone's charge IC sometimes defaults to standard charging while it validates the new cell's BMS response. This is a one-cycle behaviour. Let the phone complete a full charge at the slow rate, then disconnect and reconnect the charger — fast charge typically re-engages once the IC has logged one accepted charge session from the new cell. If slow charging persists after two full cycles, confirm the charger and cable both support the required fast-charge protocol for your VIVO model.
