Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Belinea o.book 4 / o.book 4.1 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 14.4V, 4400mAh (63.36Wh) Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Belinea o.book 4 and o.book 4.1 notebooks. It slots into the same bay and connects to the same charging circuit as the factory cell. If the original pack no longer holds a charge or the laptop cuts out under load, this is the direct swap.
- o.book 4 and 4.1 compatibility: Both the o.book 4 and 4.1 share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and 14.4V charging rail. One cell covers both models without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge passes on the bench. The BMS engaged correctly at both ends — no false cutoff on charge, and the low-voltage protection tripped at the expected floor before cell damage could occur.
- First-cycle reset on the o.book 4: After fitting this cell, run the laptop on battery until it reaches hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without pulling the adapter. This gives the BIOS battery learn cycle a clean data set and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell
The o.book 4 BIOS reads health data stored in the old pack's EEPROM, not live cell voltage. When a new cell goes in, the BIOS compares current readings against stale reference data from the previous pack and flags a mismatch as degraded health. This is a data conflict, not a cell fault. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted full charge forces the BIOS to rewrite its battery learn cycle against the new cell's actual capacity curve. After that cycle, the health indicator updates to reflect real cell condition.
Laptop shutting down at 20–30% shown on the fuel gauge
This happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't yet calibrated against the new cell's discharge curve. The IC inherited calibration data from the old, degraded pack and calculates 20–30% remaining at a voltage point that actually sits near the cell floor. Under full CPU and display load, the voltage drops sharply at that point and the system shuts down before the gauge reaches zero. Run two or three complete discharge-to-hibernate and full-charge cycles without interruption. By the third cycle the fuel gauge IC has enough real data to map the new cell accurately, and the premature shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
The o.book 4 BIOS shows the new battery as "unknown" or 0% — is the cell dead?
No. The BIOS is reading stale EEPROM data left over from the old pack and hasn't yet mapped the new cell. Run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That single learn cycle rewrites the BIOS battery reference data against the new cell and clears the unknown or 0% reading.
The Wh rating shown in Windows power settings doesn't match the 63.36Wh on the spec sheet — why?
Windows reads the Wh figure stored in the battery EEPROM, which reflects the rated chemistry baseline. The actual measured capacity after a full charge may read slightly differently depending on how far the fuel gauge IC has calibrated against the new cell. This is an EEPROM-reported value versus a live-measured value — not a sign of a faulty or underspec cell. Complete two full discharge-and-charge cycles and the reported figure will settle closer to the rated 63.36Wh.
The o.book 4 cuts out at around 25% battery remaining every time the screen brightness is at maximum — what's causing it?
At high display load, current draw spikes and the cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge expects. If the fuel gauge IC is still running calibration data from the old degraded pack, it places the 25% threshold at a voltage point the new cell actually hits under sustained load. The cell voltage is hitting the protection floor before the displayed percentage reaches zero. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate cycles without interrupting the charge, and the IC recalibrates its voltage-to-percentage curve against the new cell — the cutouts stop after that.
