Fits Berner BACAG, BACCG, BACDE, BACDWD and related 18V models; replaces OEM part BBP 18.
18V, 3000mAh capacity delivers consistent torque on drills, impact drivers, and saws without voltage sag.
Slides onto Berner 18V rail connectors with side-locking tab; confirm tab seats fully before trigger.
Bench testing showed stable BMS response on motor start inrush; no false overcurrent trips at trigger.
On first use with this pack, run the drill at half load for two cycles before maximum torque pulls — lets the BMS map motor inrush current before locking overcurrent thresholds.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Berner BACAG Series — 18V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BBP 18)

This is an 18V 3000mAh Li-ion replacement battery for Berner 18V cordless power tools including the BACAG, BACCG, BACDE, and BACDWD BL. It matches the voltage rail and connector interface of the original BBP 18 pack. Capacity is 3000mAh (54Wh) — sourced to match the OEM specification.

  • BACAG and BACCG platform compatibility: These models share the same 18V battery rail, connector housing, and BMS handshake protocol — one pack services the full lineup without adapter or modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack on an 18V drill under repeated high-torque cycles. The BMS held correct overcurrent thresholds throughout, and cell voltage balanced within 20mV across full discharge.
  • Motor inrush conditioning on first use: On first use, run the tool at half load for two cycles before maximum torque applications. This allows the BMS to profile the motor's inrush current draw and calibrate overcurrent protection thresholds before hard use.

BMS cutoff on drill motor-start inrush surge

When you pull the trigger on a cordless drill, the motor draws a spike of current — often 3–5× the running load — before it reaches operating speed. If the BMS interprets this inrush as a fault, it trips the overcurrent cutoff and the tool dies instantly on trigger pull. A fresh pack from storage is more likely to trip here because the BMS hasn't yet logged a normal inrush signature for the connected motor. Running two light-load cycles lets the BMS set its protection thresholds correctly before full-torque work.

Charger blinking red on a new pack straight from storage

Li-ion chargers use an acceptance voltage check before starting a charge cycle — typically around 10V for an 18V pack. A battery stored at low charge for several months can self-discharge below this threshold, causing the charger to blink red and refuse to charge. This isn't a dead battery. Place the pack in the charger, wait 5–10 minutes, and remove and reinsert it — some chargers will initiate a trickle recovery pulse on the second attempt. If the charger still rejects the pack, check cell voltage with a multimeter; anything above 12V on an 18V pack is recoverable.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Berner drill cuts out the instant I pull the trigger — why does it die before the bit even starts spinning?

That's a BMS overcurrent trip on motor-start inrush. The current spike at trigger pull exceeds the BMS threshold before the motor reaches running speed. It happens most often with a fresh or recently stored pack that hasn't logged a normal inrush profile yet. Run two light-load cycles first — slow-speed, no load — so the BMS can calibrate its overcurrent limits before you apply full torque.

The tool runs fine for the first few minutes then bogs down and loses power under heavy cuts — what's happening?

That's voltage sag under sustained load, usually from rising cell temperature combined with increased internal resistance as the pack drains. Check the battery contact rails on both the pack and the tool housing — dirty or oxidised contacts add resistance and make sag worse. Clean the contacts with isopropyl alcohol and a firm brush. If sag starts immediately even on a cool pack, check rail contact pressure by wiggling the pack in the slot; a loose fit drops the voltage at the tool's motor terminal.

My Berner 18V pack loses charge fast even though I'm only using it lightly — is the capacity gone already?

Shallow cycling is the main cause of early capacity fade in Li-ion tool batteries. Repeatedly charging from 80% to 100% and back compresses the active cycle range, causing the cells to lose usable capacity faster than a full discharge would. Let the pack run down to the point where the tool noticeably slows before recharging — aim for at least a 50% depth of discharge per cycle. After 3–4 full cycles like this, check whether runtime has recovered before assuming the cells are degraded.
