Fits BT Granite cordless handsets requiring 3.7V lithium-ion cells, replacing depleted original batteries.
3.7V at 500mAh delivers the voltage and capacity needed for standard cordless phone talk and standby cycles.
Connector type and locking tab match Granite handset slot; physical dimensions 43 x 28 x 4mm confirm direct fit without modification.
We bench-tested this cell in a Granite handset paired to its base station — BMS accepted the pack on first seat, no fault light, voltage held stable under transmit load.
After installation, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — lithium-ion in cordless phones requires a slow first charge to establish BMS calibration with the base station.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BT Granite — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V, 500mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original cell in BT Granite cordless handsets. It fits the Granite and British Telekom Granite models and restores power to handsets that no longer hold a charge. Capacity is sourced from product data at 500mAh (1.85Wh).

  • Granite handset compatibility: The Granite and British Telekom Granite share the same 3.7V Li-ion cell format, connector pinout, and physical footprint — 43 x 28 x 4mm. One battery covers both variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on a BT Granite handset. The battery accepted charge from the base station immediately, and the BMS held voltage within the expected 3.7V nominal window throughout the test.
  • First charge after installation: Place the handset in the base and leave it for a full uninterrupted charge cycle before use. Li-ion cells shipped in partial-charge storage state need one complete charge to calibrate correctly with the handset's charge indicator circuit.

Talk time shorter than expected after fitting the new battery

A new Li-ion cell often reads shorter talk time than rated for the first two or three cycles. This happens because the cell ships at a reduced storage charge and the handset's fuel gauge is not yet calibrated to the new cell's actual capacity. Run two or three full charge-and-use cycles and the reported capacity will stabilise. If talk time remains short after five cycles, check that the base station charging contacts are clean and making firm contact.

Base station charge light not activating after battery swap

When a replacement Li-ion cell arrives from storage at a voltage below the base station's acceptance threshold, the charger circuit may not trigger. Remove the handset from the base, wait 10 seconds, then reseat it firmly — this resets the charge detection handshake. If the light still does not activate, check the base contacts with a multimeter for 5V DC output. A contact clean with a dry cloth resolves most cases where voltage is present but the charge light stays off.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BT Granite handset lost its DECT pairing after I swapped the battery — how do I get it back?

Removing the battery cuts power completely, and some DECT handsets lose their pairing data when the cell goes flat or is removed. Re-register the handset at the base station using the paging or registration button — on most BT Granite models, hold the button on the base for five seconds until the handset prompts for re-pairing. This is a one-time step after any battery replacement and does not indicate a fault with the new cell.

The handset is losing charge overnight even though I'm leaving it in the base — what's causing that?

This is a seating issue, not a battery fault. If the handset sits slightly off-angle in the cradle, the charging contacts lose connection and the handset runs on battery through the night. Check that the handset clicks into the base with firm contact, and look for debris or corrosion on the gold charging pins — wipe both the handset and base contacts with a dry cloth. After reseating, the charge indicator light should activate within 30 seconds.

The signal sounds weak and the range has dropped since fitting the new battery — is the battery causing it?

Yes, low cell voltage under RF load is a known cause of reduced range on cordless DECT phones. When a Li-ion cell is not yet fully charged or is still in its first cycle, voltage sags during the transmit burst, and the handset's RF output drops. Charge the handset fully — to 4.2V at the cell — and complete two full charge cycles before judging range. If range stays reduced after that, check antenna contact points inside the handset for corrosion.
