Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

CAME-TV BOLTZEN B-30 Series — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 7.4V 2000mAh (14.8Wh) lithium-ion battery fits the CAME-TV BOLTZEN B-30, BOLTZEN B-30S, and ULTRA SLIM 576B 3200–5800K LED light panels. These are compact portable video lights used on set and in studio production. The cell dimensions are 70.80 × 38.50 × 21.00mm — check your current battery matches before ordering.
- BOLTZEN B-30 and 576B panel compatibility: These three CAME-TV panels share the same battery bay geometry, voltage rail, and connector spec. The 7.4V nominal supply feeds the LED driver board directly, so cell voltage at rest and under load must sit within a narrow window. A cell outside that window causes the panel to dim unexpectedly or cut off before the indicator reads empty.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the BOLTZEN B-30's draw profile — full brightness RGB mode at rated current. The BMS held cutoff at the correct low-voltage threshold and did not trip early under sustained continuous draw.
- First-cycle conditioning for LED driver accuracy: On the first use, run this battery down fully at mid-brightness before recharging completely. The BOLTZEN's onboard fuel gauge calibrates its remaining-charge indicator against a full discharge-to-charge cycle — skipping this step causes the indicator to read inaccurately from the start.
Why the BOLTZEN B-30 dims suddenly at high RGB output
The B-30's LED driver pulls significantly more current in full RGB mode than in single-colour or low-output modes. A cell with degraded internal resistance cannot maintain the voltage rail under that current spike — the driver detects the sag and steps down brightness to protect the LEDs. This is not a fault in the light itself. Fitting a fresh cell with low internal resistance restores full output and eliminates the stepdown behaviour. If the dimming persists with a new cell, check the battery contact pins in the bay for corrosion.
Battery indicator reads full but panel shuts off mid-shoot
This happens when the fuel gauge has not been calibrated to the new cell's discharge curve. The indicator maps voltage thresholds to percentage, and a new cell discharges differently to the worn cell the gauge was last calibrated against. The result is a sudden cutoff that looks like a fault but is actually the BMS hitting the low-voltage floor while the display still reads a high percentage. Run one complete discharge and full recharge cycle, and the indicator will track accurately from the next session. After calibration, the low-battery warning should trigger at approximately 6.4V.

Frequently Asked Questions
The BOLTZEN B-30 shuts off at full brightness but runs fine at low output — is the new battery faulty?
It is not faulty. Full RGB mode draws a current spike the driver cannot sustain if the cell's internal resistance is too high — even a new cell can show this if it shipped partially discharged. Charge the battery completely before the next session and run one full cycle. If shutdown persists after a full charge cycle, measure resting cell voltage — it should read between 8.3V and 8.4V on a full charge.
The remaining-charge indicator on the B-30 jumps from 60% straight to empty — what causes that?
The BOLTZEN's fuel gauge maps voltage thresholds to percentage figures. A new cell has a slightly different discharge curve than the worn cell it replaced, so the percentage steps no longer line up with actual charge remaining. Run the battery down fully at mid-brightness output, then charge it completely without interruption. After that single calibration cycle, the indicator will track the new cell's curve accurately.
The replacement battery charges fine in the external charger but the B-30 panel won't power on with it installed — how do we fix that?
The panel's battery bay has contact pins that must seat flush against the cell terminals. If the cell is seated correctly and the panel still won't power on, check for debris or slight corrosion on the brass contact pins inside the bay — a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol clears most contact faults. After cleaning, reinsert the battery firmly and hold the power button for three seconds. If the panel powers on, charge the cell fully in the panel before the next shoot to let the BMS complete its handshake.
