Fits Clevo NH57AF1 notebook; replaces OEM part number PB50BAT-6 and PB50BAT-6-62.
11.1V, 5400mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 59.94Wh total energy to the NH57AF1 mainboard.
Connector type is proprietary Clevo; slides into the battery bay slot with fixed locking tabs on both sides.
We bench-tested this cell against the NH57AF1 charging circuit; BMS accepted the handshake on first insertion and charged to 100% without fault codes.
After installation, run one full discharge to hibernation cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears inaccurate health warnings.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Clevo NH57AF1 Series — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (PB50BAT-6)

This is an 11.1V, 5400mAh (59.94Wh) Li-ion battery for the Clevo NH57AF1 notebook. It also fits the PB51DF2, NH55ADY, and PB70EF-G. OEM part numbers PB50BAT-6 and PB50BAT-6-62 both cross-reference to this cell.

  • NH57AF1 and sibling platforms: These models share the same 11.1V three-cell architecture, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge-discharge cycles on the NH57AF1 platform and confirmed the BMS communicates correctly with the EC — charge current tapered normally at top-of-charge and protection triggered cleanly at low-voltage cutoff.
  • Post-swap calibration tip: After fitting this cell, run the laptop down to hibernate-cutoff under normal load, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the fuel gauge IC to re-anchor its endpoints against the new cell chemistry and clears the inaccurate health warning the BIOS throws after every cell swap.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after installation

The Clevo EC reads health data from EEPROM registers on the battery's BMS — not from live cell measurements. When you swap cells, the EEPROM on the new pack carries factory-default values that don't match the host system's learned history. The BIOS interprets this mismatch as a degraded cell. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% lets the fuel gauge IC rewrite those registers against actual capacity. After two to three cycles the health readout stabilises to reflect real cell condition.

Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a faulty reading. Under combined CPU and display load, cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC can track — the pack hits the EC's cutoff threshold while the OS still shows charge remaining. It happens most often when the fuel gauge hasn't been calibrated to the new cell. Run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, charge to 100%, and repeat once more. After two calibration cycles the gauge recalculates its discharge curve and the shutdown point shifts back to below 5%.

Frequently Asked Questions

My NH57AF1 shows the new battery as "0% available (plugged in, not charging)" right after I installed it — what's wrong?

The EC is reading stale EEPROM data from the new pack and hasn't established a charge handshake yet. Shut the laptop down completely, remove the AC adapter for 30 seconds, reconnect it, then boot. This forces the EC to re-initialise communication with the BMS. If the issue persists after one cold boot cycle, run the laptop down to hibernate-cutoff and back to 100% — that resets the fuel gauge IC registers and clears the false zero reading.

System info shows this battery as 47Wh but the spec says 59.94Wh — is the cell underspecced?

The Wh figure in system info is pulled from the battery's EEPROM design-capacity register, which the fuel gauge IC populates after it has run calibration cycles against the actual cell. A freshly installed pack reports factory-default or old-pack values until calibration completes. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate and charge-to-100% cycles — the Wh figure will update to match the rated 59.94Wh once the IC anchors its calculation to the new cell's measured capacity.

The charge indicator on the NH57AF1 stops climbing at 80% and sits there even with AC connected overnight — is the BIOS limiting it?

Yes — Clevo's EC firmware includes a charge-limit threshold that some BIOS versions activate by default to reduce cell stress during long AC-connected use. This is a firmware setting, not a battery fault. Go into the BIOS (F2 at POST), locate the Battery Charge Threshold or Smart Charging setting under the Power menu, and set the upper limit to 100%. Save and reboot — charging will resume to full on the next cycle.
