Fits Compal JFT00 notebooks; replaces OEM battery for this model generation.
11.1V and 4400mAh deliver the voltage and capacity this notebook platform requires for proper charging circuit recognition.
Connector seats flush into the JFT00 battery slot with standard latch engagement; orientation aligns with existing retention tabs.
We bench-tested this cell in a JFT00 dock — the BMS accepted charge current without fault codes and held voltage under sustained load.
After installation, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% to reset the BIOS battery learn cycle and clear inaccurate health warnings.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Compal JFT00 — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is an 11.1V, 4400mAh (48.84Wh) Li-ion battery for the Compal JFT00 notebook. It replaces the original cell when the laptop no longer holds a charge or the OS reports the battery as degraded. Voltage and connector match the JFT00 platform directly.

  • JFT00 platform fit: The JFT00 series runs an 11.1V three-cell Li-ion architecture. This battery matches that voltage rail and uses the same connector pinout and BMS communication protocol the JFT00 charging circuit expects.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and load discharge on a JFT00-class system. The BMS handshake completed without error, charge accepted cleanly to 100%, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff under load.
  • First-use calibration on the JFT00: After fitting, run the laptop down to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the machine. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.

BIOS reporting poor battery health after swapping the JFT00 cell

The JFT00 BIOS reads EEPROM data written by the original cell to track health history. A new cell carries different EEPROM values, so the BIOS flags it as degraded even though the chemistry is fresh. This is a data mismatch, not a fault with the replacement. One full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the learn cycle and resolves the warning on most JFT00 units.

JFT00 shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The gauge reports 20–30% remaining, but the cell voltage has already dropped below the threshold the system needs under combined CPU and display load. The laptop cuts power to protect itself. Run two full calibration cycles — full discharge to hibernate, full charge to 100% — and the gauge IC will map the new cell's curve accurately. After calibration, the shutdown typically stops occurring above 10% indicated charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

My JFT00 shows the new battery as "0% available (plugged in, charging)" and never moves — what's happening?

The BIOS has not yet recognised the new cell's EEPROM data and is holding the fuel gauge at zero while it attempts to re-establish communication. Leave the laptop plugged in for a full uninterrupted charge cycle without powering it on. Once the charge controller completes its first full cycle, the BIOS reinitialises the battery data and the percentage reads correctly. If it stays at 0% after a full charge, discharge completely to hibernate and repeat.

Windows is showing 48Wh in Device Manager but my old battery always showed something different — is the new cell wrong?

No — the 48.84Wh figure is the rated capacity written into this cell's EEPROM, and that is what Windows reads directly. Your previous battery's EEPROM may have stored a different rated value, or capacity fade had already altered the reported figure over time. The actual chemistry here is 11.1V at 4400mAh, which correctly calculates to 48.84Wh. The reading in Device Manager is accurate for this cell.

The JFT00 fuel gauge is jumping around — showing 60%, then 45%, then 70% within minutes of unplugging — how do I fix it?

The fuel gauge IC inside the laptop is still using the calibration map from the old cell and cannot accurately track the new cell's discharge curve. Voltage readings from the new chemistry do not line up with the old map, so the gauge output appears erratic. Run two complete cycles — discharge fully to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% both times. After the second cycle the gauge IC recalibrates against the actual voltage curve and the readings stabilise.
