Fits Cub Cadet L.K600 cordless lawn mower; replaces OEM battery CS-RCT300VX.
25.6V lithium-ion delivers 3000mAh capacity for full-deck cutting and propulsion cycles.
Slide-lock connector; battery seats flush into deck housing with positive terminal forward.
Bench testing showed BMS engaged at 25.2V nominal; no early cutoff under load.
Before first spring use, warm this pack indoors overnight if outdoor temperature stays below 10°C — cold cells trigger blade motor inrush protection and cause mid-cut shutdowns.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Cub Cadet L.K600 — 25.6V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 25.6V 3000mAh (76.8Wh) lithium-ion battery fits the Cub Cadet L.K600 cordless lawn mower. It powers both the cutting deck motor and the propulsion drive. When the original pack loses the ability to hold a working charge, this is the direct replacement.

  • L.K600 platform fit: The L.K600 uses a 25.6V bus rail shared across the blade motor and drive system. Both subsystems draw from the same pack simultaneously, so the BMS must support the combined inrush current on startup — this battery's cell configuration and BMS threshold are matched to that dual-load profile.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full discharge and charge sequences on the L.K600 platform. The BMS responded correctly to load spikes from the blade motor, held cutoff thresholds within spec, and balanced cells normally across cycles.
  • Seasonal storage before first spring cut: If the battery has been sitting in a cold garage over winter, bring it indoors for at least 12 hours before charging. Below 10°C, internal cell resistance rises sharply — connecting a cold pack to the charger can cause the BMS to reject the charge cycle entirely.

BMS cutoff under thick grass or wet blade load

When the blade motor hits dense or wet grass, inrush current spikes well above normal draw. If the pack is already warm from a previous run, the BMS thermal threshold tightens. A sudden overload on top of elevated cell temperature trips the protection circuit and cuts power to the deck. This is not a battery fault — it is the BMS doing its job. Let the pack rest for five minutes and the circuit resets automatically.

Charger showing fault light after mower sat all winter

Lithium-ion cells self-discharge over months of inactivity. If the pack drops below approximately 2.5V per cell, the charger's acceptance circuit sees the voltage as out of range and refuses to begin a charge cycle, displaying a fault or red-light error. Some chargers recover the pack with a trickle pre-charge mode — check whether your charger has a recovery or conditioning setting and activate it before assuming the pack is dead. If the charger has no recovery mode, a battery shop can apply a controlled low-current boost to bring cells back above the 2.5V threshold before normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

The mower cuts out halfway through a row, then starts working again after a minute — what's happening?

This is thermal protection activating in the BMS. The blade motor pulls high current continuously, especially through longer or denser grass, and the pack heats up faster than the cells can dissipate it. Once cell temperature crosses the BMS threshold, it interrupts the circuit to prevent damage. Let the pack sit off the mower for five minutes — the thermal fuse resets and the pack will run normally again.

My charger was fine all last season, but now it just flashes a fault light and won't charge the battery — what changed?

The pack almost certainly discharged below the charger's acceptance voltage during winter storage. Li-ion cells sitting unused will self-discharge slowly over months, and once any cell drops below roughly 2.5V the charger sees an out-of-range reading and blocks the charge cycle. Check if your charger has a recovery or conditioning mode and run that first. If it doesn't, a battery service shop can apply a low-current pre-charge boost to bring the cells back into the normal acceptance window.

The battery feels noticeably warm after the first few charges — is something wrong with the new pack?

Warmth during the first three to five cycles is normal. New cells condition themselves through early charge and discharge, and internal resistance is slightly higher before the chemistry stabilises — that resistance converts a small amount of energy to heat. The pack should run cooler once it has completed five full cycles. If it remains hot to the touch after that point, or if the charger faults during charge, check that the battery contacts on the mower are clean and making full contact.
