Replaces AA3S1P1000 Ni-MH pack for cordless handheld tools and portable emergency lighting devices requiring 3.6V input.
3.6V nominal voltage with 1000mAh capacity delivers 3.6Wh total energy for sustained runtime across standard charge cycles.
Connector type and locking tab match OEM housing; physical dimensions 51.10 x 42.20 x 14.60mm fit original battery slot orientation.
We bench tested this cell under standard discharge load — BMS accepted voltage handshake on first insertion without fault codes.
Run one full charge-discharge cycle before relying on device fuel gauge; Ni-MH packs need calibration against new cells after swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Custom Battery Packs AA3S1P1000 — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery Pack

This is a 3.6V, 1000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery pack for OEM part number AA3S1P1000. Three cells wired in series deliver a stable 3.6V rail at 3.6Wh usable energy. It is a direct OEM-matched replacement for devices that specify this part number.

  • Three-cell series configuration: Three Ni-MH cells wired in series share the same voltage rail and connector pinout as the original pack. The BMS expects all three cells to balance together — swap only with a matched 3S1P pack to avoid cell mismatch errors at the charge IC.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS engaged correctly at both ends of the voltage window, and no premature cutoff was triggered during the conditioning run.
  • First-cycle calibration: Run one full charge-to-discharge cycle immediately after installation. Devices with integrated fuel gauges read cell state-of-charge from learned capacity data — a new pack starts without that history, so the first full cycle writes it fresh.

Pack running at lower voltage than rated on first install

Ni-MH packs ship at storage voltage, typically 3.2–3.4V across three cells rather than the rated 3.6V. The device may flag low battery or behave erratically before the pack has ever been charged. This is normal — charge the pack fully before first use. After a full charge cycle, resting voltage should read 3.6V or above across the pack terminals.

Pack not reaching full charge on the first cycle

Some charge ICs apply a reduced current limit when they detect a new or deeply discharged Ni-MH pack — this is a deliberate protection behaviour, not a fault. The first charge may terminate early or report less than full capacity. Run a full discharge down to the BMS cutoff, then charge again. Capacity typically normalises within two to three cycles as the charge IC learns the pack's internal resistance profile.

Frequently Asked Questions

The device shows "battery not detected" immediately after I swapped in the new pack — what's happening?

The device is running a voltage range check on the pack at startup. If the new pack shipped at storage voltage (below 3.4V), it can fall outside the acceptance window. Charge the pack fully via the OEM charger first, then reinsert it. If the device still rejects it, power-cycle the device with the pack seated — this clears the handshake latch on most charge ICs.

The pack feels warm during the first charge — is something wrong?

Mild warmth during the first charge cycle is normal for Ni-MH cells conditioning from a low storage state. The cells generate slightly more heat as internal resistance drops during the initial charge. If the pack becomes hot to the touch or the charger cuts off within a few minutes, remove it and check terminal voltage — it should climb steadily from storage level toward 3.6V. A pack that stays cool and charges to completion on the second attempt is behaving correctly.

My device's battery indicator is stuck or reading wrong after the swap — how do I fix it?

The fuel gauge in the device is calibrated against the previous pack's charge history. After a swap, that history is gone, so the indicator reads inaccurately until it relearns. Run one complete charge from empty to full without interrupting it. After that cycle, the gauge will have written new capacity data against the AA3S1P1000 cells and should track correctly from that point forward.
