Fits Dell Latitude 13 7370 ultrabook; replaces OEM part numbers WY7CG and XCNR3.
7.6V, 4400mAh capacity delivers 33.44Wh — matches original output for full workday runtime.
Connector seats flat into the Dell battery slot with locking tab on left edge.
Bench testing showed clean BMS handshake on first charge; voltage held steady under sustained load.
After installation, run one full discharge to hibernation cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the false "poor health" warning that appears after every cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dell Latitude 13 7370 — 7.6V Li-ion Replacement Battery (WY7CG / XCNR3)

This is a 7.6V, 4400mAh (33.44Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Dell Latitude 13 7370 ultrabook. It fits the 7370 directly, matching the original connector, BMS handshake protocol, and cell voltage. Use the OEM part numbers WY7CG and XCNR3 to verify fitment against your existing battery label before ordering.

  • Latitude 7370 fit: The 7370 uses a two-cell 7.6V pack with a specific 5-pin smart connector. This replacement matches that pin layout and communicates with the Dell EC firmware so the system recognises the battery rather than flagging an unknown device on POST.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on a Latitude 7370 unit. The BMS negotiated correctly with the Dell embedded controller, charge termination triggered at the expected 8.7V cutoff, and no protection-circuit trips occurred during load testing.
  • Post-install calibration on the 7370: After fitting, run the laptop down to hibernate cutoff under normal use — do not force-shutdown. Then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the machine. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting the new cell

The Latitude 7370 BIOS reads health data from EEPROM registers that were written by the original factory cell. When a new cell arrives, those registers don't yet reflect real-world cycle data, so the BIOS flags it as degraded — even though the cell is new. This is a firmware state issue, not a hardware fault. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted full charge. After two to three cycles the BIOS health indicator will update to reflect the actual cell condition.

Laptop shuts down hard at 20–30% shown on the fuel gauge

The fuel gauge IC on the 7370 calculates remaining capacity against a charge profile built from the old cell's impedance curve. A new cell has lower internal resistance and a different voltage-versus-capacity slope. The gauge underestimates remaining charge and calls shutdown well before the cell is actually empty. This is not a defective battery — it is a calibration mismatch. Force the IC to relearn by completing three full discharge-to-hibernate and charge-to-100% cycles without interruption. After the third cycle, shutdowns at false percentages stop and the gauge stabilises around the correct voltage floor of approximately 6.0V under load.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Dell Latitude 7370 BIOS shows 0% or "unknown" right after I put in the new battery — is the cell dead?

No — the BIOS is reading stale EEPROM data from the previous cell and hasn't yet logged any charge history for the new one. This clears itself after the battery learn cycle completes. Discharge the laptop to hibernate under normal use, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. The BIOS health reading updates after one to three full cycles and the "unknown" or 0% state goes away.

My replacement battery shows the wrong Wh rating in Dell system information — it says something different from 33.44Wh.

The Wh figure in Dell system info is pulled from a static EEPROM register on the battery's fuel gauge IC, not calculated live from the cell. The register value is sometimes set to the rated nominal figure from the cell manufacturer, which can differ slightly from the actual measured capacity under load. The cell itself is correct — 7.6V, 4400mAh. If the Wh discrepancy concerns you, check that the voltage reads 7.6V in BIOS or HWMonitor, which confirms the correct cell is installed.

Charge stops at 80% and will not go higher — the Latitude 7370 just sits there plugged in but never reaches 100%.

The Latitude 7370 ships with a BIOS-controlled charge limit that caps charging at 80% when "Primary AC Use" or a custom charge threshold is enabled in Dell Power Manager or BIOS settings. This is a firmware setting, not a battery fault. Go into BIOS (F2 at POST) → Power Management → Primary Battery Charge Configuration and set it to "Adaptive" or "Standard." The battery will then charge to 100%.
