M300 not completing boot sequence after battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If a cell drops below approximately 2.5V, the M300's BMS enters deep-discharge lockout and refuses to initiate the boot sequence — the screen stays dark or shows a battery fault icon immediately. Place the monitor on its charging dock for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on. This allows the charge IC to recover the cell above the BMS re-initialisation threshold of 3.0V.

The cell is almost certainly fine. The M300's BMS uses internal resistance to gauge capacity, and a new cell reads elevated resistance before its first full cycle — the monitor flags this as low capacity even at 4.2V. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle on the M300 before treating the alarm as a real fault. After that cycle, the resistance profile normalises and the alarm clears.

The M300 won't power on at all after the new battery arrived — screen is completely blank

Li-ion cells self-discharge in transit and storage. If the cell dropped below the BMS recovery threshold (around 2.5V), the M300 refuses to boot as a protection measure. Dock the monitor and leave it on charge for 30 minutes without pressing the power button. Once the cell recovers above 3.0V, the BMS re-initialises and the device will boot normally.
