Fits Electrolux PF91 and PF91-ALRP cordless vacuums, replaces OEM part 56645709099.
32.4V, 2000mAh capacity delivers full motor power on hard floors and carpets without voltage sag.
Battery slides into the handle dock with a single locking tab; connector seats flush when fully inserted.
We ran charge cycles on the Electrolux dock charger — BMS accepted the handshake on first insertion, no fault codes.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously; trickle charging causes capacity fade within weeks, so charge to full and remove immediately.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Electrolux PF91 Series — 32.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (56645709099)

This is a 32.4V 2000mAh lithium-ion battery pack for the Electrolux PF91 and PF91-ALRP cordless stick vacuum. It replaces OEM part 56645709099 when the original cell degrades and can no longer hold charge. Voltage and connector match the original factory spec.

  • PF91 and PF91-ALRP fit: Both models run the same 32.4V power rail, share the same battery bay connector, and use the same BMS handshake. One battery covers both variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the pack through full charge and discharge cycles on a PF91 platform. The BMS responded correctly to charge termination, over-discharge cutoff, and motor-start current draw without tripping protection prematurely.
  • Dock charging behaviour on the PF91: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock between uses. Continuous dock contact keeps the BMS cycling trickle charge into the cells, which accelerates capacity fade. Charge fully, then remove from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This is one of the most misread symptoms on the PF91. The motor draws harder when the filter is partially blocked, pulling more current than the cell is rated to deliver continuously. Voltage sags under that load before the state-of-charge indicator registers a low battery. The fix is not a new battery — clean or replace the filter first, then retest. If suction recovers, the battery was not the fault.

Motor cutting out mid-run then restarting after a short pause

This pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead cell. Sustained restricted airflow forces the motor to draw current above the BMS protection threshold, and the pack shuts the output to protect the cells. It resets after a few seconds once current demand drops. Clear the filter and check the nozzle for blockages before assuming the battery is faulty. If the cutout persists on a clean, unobstructed run, measure pack voltage under load — a healthy cell holds above 28V at the terminals during operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

My PF91 has noticeably less suction than it used to but the battery indicator still shows plenty of charge — why?

The battery indicator shows state-of-charge, not motor performance. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor draws more current to compensate, which causes voltage sag at the cell before the charge level visually drops. Clean or replace the filter first. If suction returns, the battery was not the issue.

The PF91 motor cuts out after a minute or two of use, then comes back on if I wait — is the battery faulty?

That cut-and-recover pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failed cell. Restricted suction — from a clogged filter or blocked nozzle — forces the motor to draw above the pack's protection threshold, and the BMS shuts output briefly to protect the cells. Clear any blockage and test again on an open floor. If the cutout still happens on a clear, unobstructed run, check pack voltage under load — a healthy 32.4V pack should hold above 28V at the terminals during operation.

The replacement battery is showing reduced capacity after only a few months — what causes that?

Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of early capacity fade on cordless vacuums. Leaving the vacuum on the dock between every use keeps the BMS cycling trickle current through the cells even when they are already full, degrading cell chemistry faster than normal charge-discharge use would. Charge the pack fully, then remove it from the dock and store the vacuum off-charge. This alone significantly slows capacity loss over the battery's life.
