Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Elson EL350 / EL350 Dual — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BTY26169)
This is a 3.7V, 1200mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Elson EL350 and EL350 Dual smartphones. It replaces OEM part BTY26169 and fits both single-SIM and dual-SIM variants of the EL350. Capacity is 1200mAh (4.44Wh), matching the original cell specification.
- EL350 and EL350 Dual compatibility: Both variants use the same physical cell format, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. The dual-SIM model draws slightly more standby current from two active radio stacks, but the battery interface and charge circuit are identical across both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the EL350 charge IC and confirmed the BMS handshake completes correctly. The protection circuit trips at the expected low-voltage threshold and the charge controller reaches termination without errors.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the EL350 after a cell swap
The EL350's fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the previous cell. When a new cell is installed, the stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage-to-capacity relationship of the replacement. Under load spikes — screen brightness peak, modem handoff, or dual-SIM radio switching — the new cell's voltage drops faster than the gauge predicts, and the BMS cuts power before the displayed percentage reaches zero. One full discharge-charge cycle without fast charging resets the coulomb counter and recalibrates the gauge to the new cell.
Phone won't power on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the replacement cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell before installation, the BMS enters lockout mode and blocks current flow to protect the cell from damage. The EL350 will show no response — no boot logo, no charge indicator. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button; the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 2.9V, after which normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Elson EL350 keeps shutting off at around 25% battery — why does this happen with a new cell?
The fuel gauge IC on the EL350 is still using the discharge curve it learned from the old cell. When load spikes — dual-SIM radio activity or screen bursts — the new cell's voltage sags faster than the stored curve predicts, triggering a low-voltage cutoff before the displayed percentage hits zero. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with fast charging disabled. That single cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter to the replacement cell's actual curve.
The battery percentage on my EL350 is jumping around erratically after fitting the new battery — is something wrong?
Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC is mid-recalibration — it has no accurate reference point for the new cell's internal resistance or discharge slope yet, so percentage readings are unstable. This is normal for the first one to three charge cycles after a cell swap. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles without fast charging and the readings will stabilise as the IC builds a new learned curve.
My EL350 feels noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges — should I be concerned?
A new Li-ion cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC works harder to push current into it during the first few cycles. This produces more heat than you'd see with a well-cycled cell. Keep the phone out of a case for the first two or three charges to allow heat to dissipate freely. If the back of the phone becomes too hot to hold comfortably, disconnect the charger and let it cool to room temperature before resuming.
