Fits Emobile GL02P hotspot; replaces OEM battery part number PBD02LPZ10.
This 3.7V 3000mAh lithium-ion cell restores full wireless operation for the GL02P hotspot router.
Connector slides straight into the battery compartment with a single retention tab lock.
We bench-tested this pack on the GL02P modem under sustained WiFi broadcast load; BMS held stable voltage throughout discharge cycle.
Keep the hotspot in a well-ventilated location during extended sessions — the cellular radio draws maximum output power when devices are far away, generating significant heat that stresses this cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Emobile GL02P — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (PBD02LPZ10)

This 3.7V 3000mAh Li-ion battery replaces the OEM PBD02LPZ10 cell inside the Emobile GL02P mobile hotspot. The GL02P is a portable Wi-Fi router that shares a cellular connection with multiple devices simultaneously. Voltage and capacity match the original exactly — 3.7V, 3000mAh (11.1Wh).

  • GL02P power rail: The GL02P runs a combined load — cellular modem, Wi-Fi radio, and USB charging circuit all draw from the same 3.7V cell. The BMS on this replacement handles that combined draw without tripping under normal multi-device sessions.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the GL02P, monitoring BMS communication and voltage stability under simultaneous modem and Wi-Fi load. The protection circuit responded correctly to low-voltage and over-current conditions.
  • Ventilation during extended sessions: Keep the GL02P in an open, ventilated spot when running long sessions. When connected devices are far from the hotspot, the cellular radio pushes to maximum output power — that sustained RF load generates heat that accelerates cell wear over time.

Why the GL02P drops all connected users mid-session

The GL02P handles two radio systems at once — a cellular modem and a Wi-Fi access point. When several devices are active simultaneously, peak current draw spikes sharply. If the cell voltage sags below the BMS protection threshold during that spike, the hotspot shuts off instantly to protect the battery. A fresh, fully charged cell holds voltage more firmly under this combined load than a degraded original battery.

GL02P shows power button response but won't complete boot after storage

If the GL02P has sat unused for weeks or months, the battery may have discharged below the minimum boot voltage — typically around 3.0V for Li-ion cells. The BMS locks the cell and the hotspot cannot draw enough power to complete startup. Connect the GL02P to a charger for at least 15–20 minutes before attempting to power on again. Once the cell recovers to approximately 3.2V, the BMS releases and the boot sequence completes normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

The GL02P hotspot keeps cutting off when several devices are connected — is that a battery problem?

Yes, it usually is. With multiple devices active, the combined modem and Wi-Fi current draw can spike hard enough to pull cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold, triggering an instant shutdown. A worn original battery sags faster under that load than a fresh cell. Replace the battery and test with the same number of connected devices — if the cutoffs stop, the old cell was the cause.

Battery drains noticeably faster in areas with weak cellular signal — why?

In poor signal areas, the GL02P's cellular modem ramps output power to its maximum to maintain the connection. That sustained high-power transmission draws significantly more current from the battery than normal operation. Multiple connected devices compound the drain further. Move the hotspot closer to a window or elevated position to improve signal strength — even a modest signal improvement drops the modem back to a lower power state.

The GL02P won't turn on at all after sitting in a drawer for two months — is the new battery dead on arrival?

Almost certainly not — this is a deep-discharge recovery situation. Li-ion cells that drop below roughly 3.0V get locked by the BMS as a protection measure, and the device cannot boot from that state. Plug the GL02P into its charger and leave it connected for 20 minutes without pressing the power button. Once the cell climbs back above 3.2V, the BMS releases and the hotspot will power on normally.
