New arrival
Sale priceFrom $40.99 USD Regular price $50.99
Shipping calculated at checkout.
Fits Epson TMP20, TM-P20, TM-P20II, and Mobilink TM-P20II portable receipt printers; replaces OEM part P-C32C831093.
7.4V 1150mAh lithium-ion cell delivers stable voltage for thermal print head operation and wireless connectivity during field transactions.
Connector slides into battery slot with single locking tab; orientation is keyed — seat firmly until the tab clicks.
We bench-tested this cell in a TMP20 under full thermal load; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion with no fault cycling.
After installing, charge fully and print five test receipts before field deployment — the thermal head requires a calibration sequence to confirm voltage stability.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Epson TM-P20 Series — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (P-C32C831093)

This 7.4V 1150mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original cell in the Epson TM-P20, TM-P20II, TM-P20II (101), and Mobilink TM-P20II portable receipt printers. It matches the OEM part numbers P-C32C831093, OT-BY20, 2165069, and D171A. The TM-P20 series is a mobile thermal receipt printer used in point-of-sale, delivery, and field service environments where wired power is not available.

  • TM-P20 series compatibility: All listed models run the same 7.4V battery rail, share the same physical connector, and use the same BMS handshake protocol. A cell swap on any variant in this family does not require firmware or configuration changes.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through the TM-P20's BMS and confirmed correct charge acceptance, thermal head voltage delivery under continuous print load, and paper feed motor current draw without BMS cutoff or undervoltage fault.
  • First deployment after install: Charge to full, then print five consecutive test receipts before taking the unit into the field. The TM-P20's BMS sets its current profile against the paper feed motor draw during initial cycles — skipping this step can leave the BMS calibration incomplete on a fresh cell.

Why the TM-P20 drops Bluetooth mid-job at low battery

The TM-P20 powers its Bluetooth radio and thermal print head from the same cell. When battery voltage sags below roughly 6.8V under combined load, the radio module loses stable power first — the printer drops the Bluetooth connection before it triggers a low-battery warning on screen. This is not a pairing fault or an app issue. Recharging the battery to full restores the radio's voltage margin and the connection drops stop. If the issue returns quickly after a full charge, the cell has likely degraded past its usable capacity threshold.

Print output fading or streaking on a charged battery

Faded or uneven print on a battery that shows a charge indicator is usually a thermal head voltage issue, not a paper or head-cleaning problem. The TM-P20's thermal head requires a steady voltage to hold print temperature across the full receipt width — voltage sag mid-print drops head temperature unevenly, producing light bands or streaking. A degraded cell can read as charged but collapse under the current spike the thermal head demands. Swap to a fresh cell and check that print output is solid black at rated contrast before ruling out the battery.

Frequently Asked Questions

My TM-P20 won't print anything after sitting unused for two months — is the battery the problem?

Yes, most likely. The TM-P20's BMS locks out the print motor if cell voltage has dropped below its minimum drive threshold during storage — the printer may power on but refuse to feed paper or fire the thermal head. Plug in for a full charge cycle first. If the printer still won't print after a full charge, the original cell has likely self-discharged deep enough that the BMS will not fully recover it — that's the point a replacement cell is needed.

The paper feed jams or skips every few prints, but the printer worked fine on the same paper roll before — what's causing that?

Low battery voltage reduces current available to the paper feed motor, cutting the torque it can apply against the paper roll. The TM-P20's feed mechanism needs consistent motor drive to maintain even paper tension — when voltage sags, the feed pressure drops and the paper stalls or skips mid-print. This gets worse as the cell ages because voltage sag under load increases with each charge cycle. Charge fully and test; if the jam pattern returns before the battery indicator drops, the cell's internal resistance has climbed too high to sustain motor torque and it needs replacing.

The TM-P20 shows fully charged but print quality is noticeably worse than when the battery was new — lighter text, faded edges on receipts — what changed?

The thermal head in the TM-P20 needs a stable voltage spike to heat each dot element to the correct temperature. An aged cell may still charge to nominal voltage at rest but collapse under the fast current draw the head demands, dropping temperature mid-print and producing lighter or uneven output. This is a cell degradation issue, not a head or paper issue. Fit a replacement battery and run five test receipts — if print density returns to solid black, the original cell was the cause.
