I left my ETA 1512 Fido on the charging dock between every use and now the battery barely holds charge — is the replacement cell going to have the same issue?
Yes, if you keep the same habit. Li-ion cells in the 1512 Fido format degrade faster under continuous dock contact because the charger applies a low-level charge to maintain 100% after the pack is full — that sustained elevated state accelerates capacity fade. The replacement pack will perform correctly if you charge it to full and remove it from the dock rather than leaving it docked permanently.
