Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Ezviz VOC Smart Door Lock — 7.5V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BL3601)
This 7.5V 5000mAh (37.5Wh) lithium-ion battery replaces the internal pack in the Ezviz VOC smart door lock. It powers the motorised bolt, keypad, Bluetooth module, and wireless connectivity functions. Compatible OEM part numbers include BL3601, BL3602, BL3603, PB3601, PB3602, and PB3603.
- VOC platform compatibility: The VOC series shares a single internal battery form factor across its lock variants. The BMS on this pack communicates at 7.5V to keep the motor driver, keypad backlight, and RF module on separate regulated rails — a mismatch in voltage or connector pinout causes the lock to report a fault before the bolt cycles.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and multiple bolt-cycle draws on a VOC lock body. The BMS held voltage stable under motor-start surge and did not trigger an overcurrent cutoff during repeated lock and unlock sequences.
- Post-swap access method verification: After fitting this battery, test every access method — keypad PIN, Bluetooth app, and keycard — before closing the door. The VOC performs a firmware handshake on power restoration, and some access credentials will not be accepted until that sequence completes.
Bluetooth not connecting to the VOC after battery replacement
When power is interrupted during a battery swap, the VOC's Bluetooth module resets its pairing state on some firmware versions. The lock reinitialises its radio stack on first boot, which can cause the Ezviz app to show the lock as offline or unresponsive even with a fully charged battery installed. Force-close the Ezviz app, then reopen it and navigate to the device — the app will re-establish the Bluetooth session without a full re-pair on most units. If the lock still appears offline, hold the lock's reset button for three seconds to restart the radio module without clearing access codes.
VOC keypad unresponsive immediately after fitting a new battery
This happens when the BMS on the new pack enters protection mode during installation — usually caused by a brief short at the connector terminals. The keypad and motor receive no power, and the lock appears completely dead. Remove the battery, wait 10 seconds, then reinsert it firmly. The BMS resets on reconnection and the pack should read above 7.2V at the terminals before reinsertion — below that, the lock's controller will not boot the keypad.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Ezviz VOC lock still shows a low battery warning after I put in the new battery — what's wrong?
The VOC reads battery state through the BMS data line, not just terminal voltage. If the new pack was stored for a long time, its resting voltage may sit just below the threshold the lock uses to clear the warning. Leave the lock powered on for 10–15 minutes so the BMS can update its state-of-charge register, then check the app again. If the warning persists, confirm the battery connector is fully seated — a partial connection causes the BMS to report an undervoltage condition even when the pack itself is fine.
The VOC lock motor sounds slow and the bolt is not fully extending after the battery swap — what causes that?
The motorised bolt on the VOC draws a brief high-current surge at startup, and if the battery terminals are not making clean contact, voltage sags enough under that load to slow the motor mid-cycle. Remove the battery and inspect both gold contact pads on the pack for oxidation or debris, then wipe them with a dry cloth before reinserting. If the motor still sounds laboured, check that the bolt mechanism itself is not binding mechanically — a stiff bolt multiplies the current draw and can trigger the BMS overcurrent cutoff at 7.0V.
I replaced the battery but now my keycard no longer unlocks the Ezviz VOC — did the swap erase the stored credentials?
A power interruption does not erase stored access credentials on the VOC — they are held in non-volatile memory. What it does reset is the RFID reader's initialisation state, which must complete its startup sequence before it will accept keycard reads. Wait 30 seconds after inserting the battery before presenting the keycard, giving the reader module time to fully power up and load the credential table from memory.
