This is a 3.7V, 3000mAh (11.1Wh) lithium-polymer battery for the Fabrica Tablet PC 10.1. It replaces the original cell when the tablet no longer holds a charge or powers on. Dimensions are 112.65 × 68.00 × 3.50mm — verify these against your existing cell before installing.

  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the bench. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake without fault flags, and cell voltage held stable across the discharge curve.
  • Post-swap fuel gauge reset: After fitting this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff once, then charge it uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the fuel gauge IC to recalibrate against the new cell's actual capacity and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that commonly appear after a swap.

Tablet shutting down at 15–25% after battery replacement

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old, degraded cell. When the new cell hits roughly 3.6–3.7V under display and WiFi load combined, the controller reads that voltage against the old discharge curve and triggers an early shutoff. The fix is one complete discharge-to-cutoff cycle followed by a full uninterrupted charge. After that single cycle, the IC maps the new cell's curve and the early shutdowns stop.

Fast charging not available after swapping the battery

Some tablets withhold fast-charge negotiation until the charge IC has completed at least one accepted charge cycle on the new cell. Until that cycle completes, the device defaults to standard 5V charging as a precaution. Plug in with the original cable and charger and allow one full charge from low to 100% without interruption. Fast charge should be available from the next session once the cycle is logged.

The Fabrica tablet feels warm near the charging port while charging after the battery swap — should I be concerned?

Mild warmth during the first few charge cycles is normal. The charge IC on a fresh Li-Polymer cell draws a higher initial current during the bulk-charge phase, which generates more heat than a well-cycled cell does. As long as the tablet is not hot to the touch and charging in a ventilated spot, there is nothing wrong. If it becomes genuinely hot — uncomfortable to hold — disconnect and check that you are using the original charger, not a higher-wattage USB-C adapter.

Battery percentage on my Fabrica Tablet PC 10.1 drops fast from 100% but then slows down — why does it read 100% for so long and then fall quickly?

This is fuel gauge drift caused by the IC calibrating off the old cell's reference points. The new cell has a flatter voltage curve near the top of charge, so the gauge holds at 100% longer than it should, then appears to drop quickly through the mid-range. One full discharge-to-automatic-shutoff followed by a complete charge to 100% resets the reference. After that cycle, percentage should track evenly across the full range.
