Fits Flymo Easielife Go, Easilife 200, Easilife 350, Easilife 500, and related 18V Flymo cordless mower models with standard Li-ion battery slots.
18V nominal voltage with 2500mAh capacity delivers consistent blade motor torque on residential lawns without mid-cut throttle sag.
Connector slides straight into the mower's battery bay with a single locking tab on the right side — no adapter needed.
We bench-tested this cell on a Flymo blade-load simulator; BMS handled full motor inrush without nuisance cutoff under normal grass conditions.
Before first use each season, bring the battery indoors overnight if outdoor temperatures are below 10°C — cold Li-ion cells raise internal resistance and blade motor startup current can trip the BMS on a chilled pack.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Flymo Easielife Go / Easilife Series — 18V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 18V Li-ion battery replaces the original pack on the Flymo Easielife Go, Easilife 200, Easilife 350, and Easilife 500 cordless lawn mowers. Capacity is 2500mAh (45Wh). It slots directly into the mower's battery bay and connects to the same BMS handshake these models share across the range.

  • Easilife series compatibility: The Easilife 200, 350, and 500 alongside the Easielife Go all run the same 18V cutting deck voltage rail and use the same battery connector and BMS communication protocol — one pack covers the full range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the Easilife platform and confirmed the BMS handshake completed correctly, with cell balancing active across all cycles and no fault codes triggered on the charger.
  • Spring start-up tip: Before first use of the season, bring the battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C — cold Li-ion cells have higher internal resistance and the blade motor inrush current can trip the BMS on a cold pack before a single row is cut.

BMS cutoff on thick-grass and wet-grass blade load

The Easilife's blade motor draws a sharp inrush current each time it bites into dense or wet grass. If the battery's state of charge is already low, the BMS reads that spike as an over-current event and cuts output to protect the cells. This is more common mid-pack — when charge is between 20% and 35% — than at a full charge. If the mower trips out during heavy growth, let the pack rest for five minutes and recharge before continuing rather than forcing another start.

Charger showing a fault light after the mower sat unused all winter

Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly in storage. A pack left in an unheated garage from October to March can drop below 2.5V per cell — the threshold most chargers require before they will begin a standard charge cycle. The charger fault light does not always mean the pack is dead; it often means the cells are too low for the charger's acceptance circuit to engage. Try leaving the pack at room temperature for two hours, then reconnect — some chargers include a recovery or trickle mode that will engage once the pack warms. If the fault light clears and charging begins, allow a full charge before use.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Flymo Easilife cuts out halfway through a row, then starts again after a short wait — what's happening?

This is thermal protection cutting in, not a faulty battery. The blade motor generates heat under continuous load, and the BMS shuts output off when it detects the pack temperature climbing past its safe threshold. Allow a five-minute cooldown with the battery removed from the mower, then resume. If it trips repeatedly on the same lawn area, the grass height or density is pushing the motor harder than normal — raise the cutting height one notch.

The new battery feels noticeably warmer after mowing than my old one did — is that normal?

New cells run warmer for the first four to five cycles while the chemistry conditions and the BMS calibrates cell balancing. This is normal and the warmth should reduce after the break-in period. Check that the battery bay vents on the mower are clear of grass clippings, which can restrict airflow and trap heat against the pack. If the pack is hot to the touch — not just warm — after a full charge rather than after use, stop charging and inspect the charger contacts for debris.

The battery charges fine but the mower loses power noticeably faster than it did last season — what causes that?

Capacity fade in Li-ion cells accelerates if packs are regularly stored at full charge for extended periods, which is common with seasonal mowers. Cells stored at 100% charge over winter lose measurable capacity each year. For the current pack, run it down to around 50–60% charge before the next long storage period rather than storing it full. If the pack is already degraded, the 2500mAh cell set in this replacement will restore the original charge level the mower's BMS expects.
