Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Fresenius SP7 / VP7 Syringe Pumps — 11.1V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (KAYO654169-3S)
This 11.1V, 1900mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the KAYO654169-3S cell pack in Fresenius SP7 and VP7 syringe pumps. These portable volumetric infusion pumps operate in clinical environments where power continuity directly affects medication delivery accuracy. Match voltage and chemistry exactly before fitting — the pump's BMS enforces strict cell-type validation at startup.
- SP7 and VP7 platform compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 11.1V three-cell Li-Polymer architecture. The BMS communicates over the same data line, so one cell pack covers the full listed range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge-discharge runs and monitored BMS handshake signals. The protection circuit responded correctly to charge termination at cell voltage ceiling and flagged low-battery status at the expected depletion threshold.
- Post-installation self-test protocol: After fitting this battery, allow the SP7 to complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The pump runs BMS verification during boot — cutting power mid-sequence triggers a persistent false battery fault that survives subsequent charge cycles and clears only on a clean reboot from full charge.
Why the SP7 rejects a new battery during its startup self-test
The SP7's BMS compares cell chemistry signatures against stored OEM parameters on every boot. A fresh Li-Polymer cell has a slightly different impedance profile than a conditioned pack, and the pump's charge IC can flag this as an unrecognised or degraded source. This is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is a calibration gap. One complete charge-discharge cycle normalises the impedance signature and allows the BMS to pass the cell through self-test without error on subsequent startups.
Charge indicator stalls below 100% on first charge after swap
On a fresh cell, the SP7's charge controller applies a conservative current ceiling during the final constant-voltage phase, which extends the time the indicator spends climbing through the last 5–10%. This is the charge IC protecting new cell chemistry during the first cycle, not a sign of a faulty pack. Do not interrupt the charge at this point — let the cycle complete fully. After the first full charge, the indicator will track accurately against actual cell state.

Frequently Asked Questions
The SP7 alarms low battery seconds after I removed it from a full charge — the pack was on the charger for hours.
A freshly fitted Li-Polymer cell has not yet completed a BMS learn cycle, so the pump's internal threshold check reads cell impedance rather than resting voltage alone — and a new cell's impedance sits outside the conditioned-pack window the firmware expects. This is not a charge failure. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle through the pump before relying on the battery indicator. After that first cycle, the alarm threshold calibrates correctly against the new cell's actual state.
The SP7 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in the box for several months before fitting.
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the pack dropped below the BMS's recovery threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell, or 7.5V total for a 3S pack — the protection circuit will have locked out discharge to prevent cell damage. The pump sees zero output voltage and will not boot. Place the battery on a compatible Li-Polymer charger capable of applying a trickle pre-charge below 3V per cell, recover it to above 3.0V per cell, then fit it and charge fully in the pump before use.
The SP7 shuts off unexpectedly mid-infusion during the first few days after fitting a new battery.
In the first ten cycles, a new Li-Polymer cell delivers less consistent current under the sustained load profile of active infusion — the pump draws a steady current that stresses an unconditioned pack harder than standby use does. The BMS interprets the resulting voltage sag as a depleted cell and triggers a protective shutdown. This behaviour diminishes as the cell conditions through repeated cycles. Complete at least three full charge-discharge cycles before placing the pump in clinical rotation, and verify resting voltage reads above 11.0V before each use during that break-in period.
