Fits Fuji 8FF60 and CVC-600 camera bodies; replaces OEM battery 6V 4200mAh Ni-MH pack.
6V and 4200mAh output delivers 25.2Wh total energy for extended shooting sessions without mid-shoot power drops.
Connector slides straight into camera slot with positive contact alignment; locking tab seats flush when fully inserted.
We bench tested this Ni-MH cell across multiple charge cycles; BMS accepted the pack on first install without error codes.
On first use, run one full charge cycle through the camera body itself before heavy shooting — Fuji firmware maps capacity to discharge curve during that cycle.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Fuji 8FF60 / CVC-600 Series — 6V Ni-MH 4200mAh Replacement Battery

This is a 6V, 4200mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for Fuji camera models including the 8FF60, CVC-600, CVT-60, and CVT-70, plus over 59 additional compatible models. It matches the original cell's voltage rail and physical form factor. Capacity is rated at 25.2Wh from the manufacturer spec.

  • 8FF60 and CVC series compatibility: These models share the same 6V battery bay, connector pin-out, and BMS communication protocol. One cell fits across the range without modification or adapter.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on compatible camera hardware. The BMS accepted the cell cleanly, voltage held steady through mid-cycle, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage threshold — no false cutoffs detected.
  • First-cycle BMS acceptance: On initial install, complete one full charge cycle through the camera body or OEM charger before heavy shooting. Some Fuji camera BMS firmware maps the discharge curve during that first cycle — skipping it can cause the battery indicator to read inaccurately for the first several uses.

Flash not fully recycling between shots on a fresh battery

Flash capacitor recharge pulls a short, high-current burst from the cell each time. A Ni-MH cell that hasn't completed its first charge cycle may sag briefly under that demand, slowing recycle time. This is not a faulty cell — it's the cell operating before its electrolyte has fully conditioned. After two or three complete charge and discharge cycles, internal resistance drops and recycle speed normalises.

Battery percentage jumping erratically on the camera display

The camera's fuel gauge maps voltage thresholds to percentage bands calibrated against the original cell's discharge curve. A new Ni-MH cell discharges slightly differently until it's been cycled a few times, which causes the indicator to skip levels or jump backward. This is a display mapping issue, not a capacity fault. Run two full charge-to-discharge cycles and the indicator will track more accurately against the actual cell state.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Fuji camera shows a dead battery icon even though I just charged this replacement — what's happening?

The camera's BMS does a voltage handshake on power-up, and a new Ni-MH cell can sit slightly below the acceptance threshold before its first full conditioning cycle. Place the battery in the OEM charger or charge it fully via the camera body, then power cycle the camera once. That single full charge cycle is usually enough for the BMS to accept the cell and display correctly.

Shot count dropped noticeably compared to what I got with the original battery — why?

A new Ni-MH cell runs below rated capacity for the first three to five cycles while the chemistry conditions. Flash discharge, continuous autofocus, and image stabilisation all add draw beyond the base spec — stacking those features cuts shot count further than rated figures suggest. Cycle the battery fully two or three times before judging capacity. If shot count remains low after five cycles, check that the flash recycle indicator is fully lit before shooting — partial recycle draws more current per shot.

The camera body gets noticeably warm during longer video recording sessions — is the battery causing that?

The battery is not the primary heat source. Sustained video combines sensor readout, image processor load, and stabilisation draw simultaneously — that load pulls more continuous current than stills shooting, and the current flow through both the cell and the camera's internal regulators generates heat. The Ni-MH cell itself runs warmer than Li-ion under sustained draw, which adds to body temperature. Keep the camera out of direct sunlight during long recordings and allow a cool-down period between extended video clips if surface temperature becomes a concern.
