Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Fujifilm GFX 50S / Medium Format GFX — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (NP-T125)
This is a 10.8V, 1300mAh Li-ion replacement for the Fujifilm NP-T125 battery. It fits the GFX 50S and Medium Format GFX camera bodies. Capacity matches the OEM spec at 14.04Wh.
- GFX platform compatibility: The GFX 50S and broader GFX line share the same NP-T125 form factor, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. That shared architecture means one cell covers both bodies without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the GFX body charger and an OEM-compatible external charger. The BMS accepted the cell on first insertion, reported state-of-charge correctly, and held voltage through sustained burst shooting sequences.
- First-cycle BMS calibration on the GFX body: Run the first full charge through the GFX camera body itself, not an external charger. The GFX BMS writes calibration data during an in-body charge cycle, and skipping this step can cause the battery-remaining indicator to read incorrectly from the first shot.
Why the GFX 50S reports a lower battery percentage than expected mid-shoot
The GFX body maps remaining charge by tracking voltage against a discharge curve calibrated to the original NP-T125 cell. A new replacement cell has a slightly different discharge curve until it completes a full break-in cycle. During that initial period, the camera may report a steeper percentage drop than the actual state-of-charge warrants. After two to three full charge-discharge cycles, the BMS recalibrates and the display stabilises. If it doesn't settle by cycle three, charge fully in-body to 10.8V and discharge through normal shooting before checking again.
GFX body showing dead battery indicator on a replacement cell that still has charge
This happens when the BMS has not yet authenticated the new cell's internal resistance signature — common on first insertion. The camera interprets an unfamiliar resistance profile as a depleted or faulty cell and blocks operation. Remove the battery, reinsert it once, then place the body on charge for a full cycle without interrupting it. If the indicator still triggers after a complete in-body charge, check that resting voltage at the cell terminals reads at least 10.8V before reinserting.

Frequently Asked Questions
My GFX 50S accepted this battery fine yesterday, but today it's showing the dead battery icon even though the cell was on charge overnight — what's happening?
An interrupted or partial charge cycle can leave the cell at a voltage the GFX BMS flags as critically low, even if the charger light showed green. Remove the battery, let it sit at room temperature for ten minutes, then reinsert and run a full uninterrupted in-body charge cycle. Check that the resting cell voltage reads 10.8V or above before shooting.
The battery percentage on my GFX jumps from 60% straight to 20% without warning — is the cell faulty?
Not necessarily. The GFX percentage display is voltage-threshold based, and a new cell's discharge curve doesn't perfectly match the OEM calibration map until it's been cycled two or three times. The jump is the camera hitting a voltage threshold it interprets as 20% before the curve flattens. Run two to three full charge-discharge cycles through normal shooting and the display will track more evenly.
I'm getting noticeably fewer shots per charge than the rated count on a brand new cell — what's drawing it down faster?
The GFX 50S rated shot count assumes minimal EVF use, no stabilisation, and short review times. In practice, continuous autofocus tracking, extended electronic viewfinder use, and in-camera image review all pull current well beyond the test baseline. If you're shooting video clips or using face-detect AF continuously, expect significantly lower counts than the spec figure. Switch the EVF to power-save mode and reduce review time to bring actual shot counts closer to rated.
