Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Fujitsu FMV-LifeBook 270LS / LifeBook P2110 — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (FPCBP49)
This is an 11.1V, 4400mAh (48.84Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Fujitsu FMV-LifeBook 270LS, LifeBook P2110, LOOX T93C/W, LOOX T93B, and over 25 additional models. It replaces OEM part numbers FPCBP49, FPCBP50, FMVLBP103, and FMVLBP104. Use it when the original cell has degraded and the laptop can no longer hold a charge away from the wall.
- LifeBook and LOOX T-series compatibility: These models share the same 11.1V three-cell rail, physical connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. A single replacement cell covers the full group without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the P2110 platform. The BMS accepted the handshake immediately, the protection circuit engaged correctly at low-voltage cutoff, and the fuel gauge IC updated without error across repeated cycles.
- First-cycle calibration on LifeBook: After fitting this battery, run the laptop on battery power until it hibernates at low charge, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.
BIOS reporting battery health as poor after fitting a new cell
The LifeBook BIOS stores capacity data from the previous cell in its battery learn table. When a new cell arrives with different EEPROM values, the BIOS compares them against the stored baseline and flags the battery as degraded. This is a firmware read mismatch, not a cell fault. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate cycle followed by an uninterrupted full charge — the BIOS relearns the new cell's profile and clears the warning on the next boot.
Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on the gauge
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The gauge inherits calibration data from the old, degraded cell and misreads the new cell's state of charge. Under combined CPU and display load, voltage drops faster than the gauge anticipates, and the system hits the hardware cutoff before the displayed percentage reaches zero. Complete two full discharge-to-cutoff and charge-to-100% cycles — after that, the fuel gauge IC recalibrates and the shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
The LifeBook BIOS shows "0% available (plugged in, charging)" after I swapped the battery — what's happening?
The BIOS is reading EEPROM data from the old cell and cannot yet map it to the new one, so it reports zero until it completes a learn cycle. Plug in the AC adapter and let the battery charge uninterrupted to 100% without pulling the cable. Then discharge fully to hibernate cutoff, then charge again uninterrupted to 100%. After that second full charge, the BIOS rereads the cell and the percentage displays correctly.
Windows shows the battery Wh rating as way lower than the 48.84Wh on the product page — is the cell faulty?
It is not a fault. The Wh figure Windows reports is pulled from the EEPROM embedded in the battery controller, which stores the rated value from the original cell design rather than the physical chemistry of this replacement. The actual usable energy in the cell is correct at 48.84Wh. After one full discharge-to-hibernate and one full uninterrupted charge, the OS fuel gauge IC recalculates against real measured capacity and the reported figure aligns more closely with the spec.
The new battery only charges to 80% and stops — the laptop shows "fully charged" but the gauge won't move past that
This is a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a cell or charger fault. Several LifeBook models ship with a battery care utility active in firmware that caps the charge ceiling at 80% to reduce cell stress during long AC-connected use. Open the Fujitsu battery utility from the system tray or Control Panel, locate the charge limit setting, and set it to 100%. The cap releases immediately and the next charge cycle reaches a full 11.1V at the terminals.
