Fits Gama Sonic GS-109S-B, GS-109F-B, and 97K012 solar lights; replaces OEM part GS32V30.
3.2V, 3000mAh LiFePO4 cell stores daytime solar charge and powers nighttime LED operation.
Cylindrical AA form factor with flat contact terminals; seats into the light's battery tube with polarity marked.
We bench-tested the GS32V30 against the original pack — BMS accepted solar input at 0.5A without cutoff and discharged evenly across the voltage curve.
Position the solar panel perpendicular to direct sunlight; indirect or shade light generates insufficient current to charge the battery management circuit and the cell will not accept charge.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Gama Sonic GS-109S-B Series — 3.2V LiFePO4 Replacement Battery (GS32V30)

This is a 3.2V, 3000mAh LiFePO4 cell for Gama Sonic solar outdoor lights, including the GS-109S-B, GS-109F-B, 97K012, and GS-97F-GE. It stores energy from the solar panel during daylight and powers the LED fixture through the night. When the original cell degrades, this replacement restores that charge-and-discharge cycle.

  • GS-109S-B and GS-109F-B series fit: These models share the same solar charging circuit, connector, and BMS handshake voltage. The 3.2V nominal rail matches what the onboard controller expects — swap in a different chemistry and the charge controller will misread the state of charge.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through solar-input charging at the GS32V30's rated parameters. The BMS tripped correctly on overcharge and recovered cleanly on reconnect. Cell voltage held stable at 3.2V nominal under LED draw.
  • Solar panel positioning after install: Position the panel at a perpendicular angle to direct sunlight. Indirect or diffused light often falls below the BMS minimum input threshold — the charge circuit will not activate even in bright overcast conditions, and the cell will sit at partial charge through the night.

Why the GS-109S-B stops lighting up after a full day of sun

LiFePO4 cells in solar fixtures degrade through shallow cycling — the panel tops the cell up each day but never pushes it to a true full charge. Over time, the cell's usable capacity shrinks. The fixture dims earlier in the night or cuts out entirely, even though the solar panel is working. A degraded cell that reads 3.2V on a multimeter may only hold a fraction of its rated 3000mAh, so replacing the cell is the fix, not repositioning the panel.

LED stays dim all night after replacing the battery

This usually means the new cell installed at a low state of charge and the first solar cycle only partially topped it up. LiFePO4 cells ship between 30–50% charge — one partial day of sun may not bring them to full. Give the fixture two full days of direct sunlight after install before drawing conclusions. Check cell voltage after day two: a fully charged 3.2V LiFePO4 cell should read approximately 3.4V at rest.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Gama Sonic light worked fine all summer but now dies halfway through the night — why?

The LiFePO4 cell has degraded through repeated shallow charge cycles. The solar panel keeps charging it each day, but the cell's actual capacity has dropped well below 3000mAh, so it runs out before sunrise. A multimeter may still show 3.2V at the terminal — that reading does not reflect remaining capacity. Replace the GS32V30 cell and run two full solar charge cycles before expecting full-night performance.

The solar panel looks fine but the new GS32V30 battery isn't charging at all — what's wrong?

The charge controller inside the GS-109S-B has a minimum input threshold — if panel output drops below it, the circuit does not activate. Shade, a dirty panel surface, or an off-angle mount can cut output enough to stall charging entirely even on a bright day. Clean the panel face, reposition the fixture so the panel faces direct sun at a perpendicular angle, and check cell voltage the following morning. A cell that accepted no charge will read below 3.0V.

After a cloudy week my Gama Sonic light won't turn on at all — how do I recover it?

Extended low-light periods can pull a LiFePO4 cell below the BMS's minimum recovery threshold, and the protection circuit locks out to prevent damage. Move the fixture to the sunniest spot available and leave it for a full day of direct sun — solar input at a strong enough current level can wake the BMS and begin charging. If the cell still reads below 2.5V after that day, the cell has likely over-discharged past recovery and needs replacement.
