Fits Geberit ACO 202, 203, 203plus, 203XL — direct OEM replacement for original 18V pack.
18V, 3000mAh capacity delivers full motor torque on this cordless platform without voltage sag under load.
Slot connector and locking tab match factory housing; seats flush with no adapter required.
We bench tested this cell on ACO 203 motor-start inrush — BMS held steady at 80A surge without nuisance cutoff.
On first use with the ACO 202, run the tool at half load for two cycles before maximum torque applications — allows the BMS to profile motor inrush current before locking overcurrent protection thresholds.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Geberit ACO 202 / 203 Series — 18V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is an 18V Li-ion replacement battery rated at 3000mAh (54Wh) for the Geberit ACO 202, 203, 203plus, and 203XL. It restores power to the cordless tool when the original cell pack has degraded below usable capacity. The voltage and connector configuration match the original battery format across the ACO series.

  • ACO 202, 203, 203plus, 203XL compatibility: These models share the same 18V power rail, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. A single replacement cell pack covers the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through motor-start inrush loads on the ACO platform. The BMS handled repeated trigger-pull spikes without tripping overcurrent protection, and cell voltage recovery after each draw was consistent across cycles.
  • Break-in load protocol: On first use, run the tool at half load for two cycles before applying maximum torque. This allows the BMS to profile the motor inrush current and calibrate its overcurrent thresholds before full-load operation.

BMS cutoff on ACO motor-start inrush surge

When the ACO tool triggers, the motor draws a current spike several times higher than its steady-state load. A new or freshly charged Li-ion pack with a conservative BMS will sometimes interpret this spike as a fault and cut output. This is more likely if the pack has been sitting uncharged — cell voltage drops during storage, which narrows the BMS overcurrent headroom. Fully charge the pack before first use and allow two partial-load cycles to let the BMS recalibrate its thresholds.

Tool bogs under sustained load despite a full charge indicator

A full charge LED does not rule out voltage sag under load. If the ACO tool slows or loses torque mid-task, the issue is usually high contact resistance at the battery rail or early-stage cell degradation reducing current delivery. Clean the battery terminal contacts with isopropyl alcohol and reseat the pack firmly. If sag persists after cleaning, check rail voltage under load — anything below 16.2V on an 18V pack during tool operation points to a cell that needs replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Geberit ACO cuts out the instant I pull the trigger — is the battery faulty?

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a defective cell. The motor-start inrush current on the first trigger pull exceeds the BMS protection threshold, especially on a pack that has been in storage. Fully charge the pack to 100%, then run the tool at low load for two short cycles before full-load use. This profiles the inrush draw and resets the overcurrent window so the BMS stops tripping on normal start-up.

The charger won't recognise the new ACO battery — it just blinks red and never starts charging.

A red-blinking charger almost always means the pack voltage has dropped below the charger's acceptance threshold during shipping or storage. Li-ion packs need to sit above roughly 2.5V per cell before a standard charger will begin a charge cycle. Try a charger with a recovery or "wake-up" mode, or briefly connect the pack to a compatible 18V charger that allows manual override. Once cells recover to around 15V total pack voltage, a standard charge cycle will initiate normally.

The ACO battery runs fine at room temperature but loses power noticeably in cold conditions — why?

Li-ion internal resistance rises sharply below 5°C, which limits how much current the cells can deliver under load. The voltage rail sags faster in the cold, causing the BMS to reduce output before the charge is actually depleted. Store and pre-warm the pack indoors before use in cold environments — bringing it back to at least 15°C before inserting it into the tool restores normal current delivery. Do not attempt to charge the pack when cell temperature is below 5°C, as lithium plating can permanently reduce capacity.
