Fits HP Envy M7-N000 series laptops replacing OEM part HSTNN-PB6L and equivalent cross-reference numbers.
11.1V 4400mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 48.84Wh — matches original pack output for sustained CPU and display loads.
Connector type matches OEM housing; locking tab seats flush against the battery bay slot without force.
We cycled this cell on an M7-N014dx unit — BMS accepted the new EEPROM signature after first full charge and reported correct health status.
After installation, run one complete discharge to system hibernate followed by uninterrupted charge to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

HP Envy M7-N000 / M7-N100 Series — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (HSTNN-PB6L)

This 11.1V, 4400mAh (48.84Wh) Li-ion battery replaces the original cell in the HP Envy M7-N000 and M7-N100 series laptops. It fits models including the M7-N011dx and M7-N014dx, and is cross-referenced against OEM part numbers HSTNN-PB6R, MC04, MC06, and TPN-C123 among others. Use it when the original cell no longer holds a charge or fails to register in the BIOS.

  • M7-N000 and M7-N100 platform fit: Both series run the same 11.1V battery rail, share the same physical connector, and use the same BMS handshake protocol — which is why a single cell covers both lines without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the M7-N series platform. The BMS communicated correctly with the HP EC firmware, accepted a full charge without interruption, and reported accurate state-of-charge data to the OS.
  • Post-install discharge cycle on the M7-N series: After fitting this cell, run the laptop on battery until it hibernates from low charge, then charge it uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.

Why the Envy M7-N BIOS reports poor battery health immediately after a swap

The HP Envy M7-N series stores battery health data in EEPROM on the battery's protection circuit board. When you install a new cell, the BIOS reads stale or mismatched EEPROM values from the factory state and flags it as degraded or unknown. This is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is a calibration gap. One full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% allows the EC firmware to rewrite the learn cycle data and clear the warning.

Envy M7-N shutting down abruptly at 20–30% charge shown

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual discharge curve. The OS reads a voltage that looks like 25% remaining, but the cell hits its low-voltage cutoff point before the gauge catches up — the laptop shuts down without warning. The fix is two to three full discharge and charge cycles, which let the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's voltage curve accurately. After calibration, the cutoff should align with the OS reading at or below 5% remaining.

Frequently Asked Questions

My HP Envy M7-N011dx shows the new battery as "0% available (plugged in, not charging)" — what's wrong?

This usually means the HP EC firmware hasn't completed its handshake with the new cell's protection circuit. Shut the laptop down completely — not sleep, not hibernate — remove the AC adapter for 30 seconds, reconnect it, then boot. If the BIOS still shows 0%, enter the BIOS setup screen (F10 on boot), let it sit for two minutes with AC connected, then restart. This forces the EC to re-poll the battery at POST and typically clears the handshake fault.

The system information screen on my M7-N100 shows the wrong Wh rating — it says 41Wh but the battery is rated 48.84Wh. Is the cell faulty?

The Wh figure shown in Windows or HP Support Assistant pulls from EEPROM data written at the factory, which may reflect the rated chemistry spec of the outgoing cell rather than the actual new cell installed. This is an EEPROM reporting mismatch, not a capacity fault — the cell itself delivers its rated energy. Run the battery learn cycle (full discharge to hibernate, full uninterrupted charge) and the value reported in HP Support Assistant will update to reflect the actual cell.

After a few weeks, the fuel gauge on my Envy M7-N is jumping erratically — 60%, then 85%, then 40% within minutes. What causes that?

The fuel gauge IC on the M7-N platform calibrates against discharge curves from the old cell. With a new cell installed, the IC's internal model is mismatched until it logs enough full cycles to rebuild its reference table. Erratic percentage jumps are the gauge interpolating between two conflicting data sets. Run three full discharge-to-hibernate and charge-to-100% cycles back to back, and the gauge IC will converge on the new cell's actual curve — the jumping stops once that reference table is rebuilt.
