Fits HP OfficeJet 200, 250, and 252 series mobile printers; replaces OEM part CZ993-60017.
11.1V, 1050mAh lithium-ion delivers full power to printer motors and heating element without voltage sag.
Connector slides straight into battery compartment with positive terminal forward; locking tab seats flush against chassis.
We bench-tested this cell on the OfficeJet 250 — BMS accepted the initial charge cycle without fault codes.
On first print run, charge the battery fully before starting; printer motors and heating elements draw peak current at startup and partial charge may trip the BMS protection circuit.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

HP OfficeJet 200 / 250 Series Mobile Printer — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CZ993-60017)

This 11.1V, 1050mAh Li-ion battery replaces the OEM CZ993-60017 cell in HP's mobile printer lineup. It fits the OfficeJet 200, 250, 252, and 252C Mobile Printers — any model that shares this battery bay and voltage rail. Pull the old cell, seat this one, and the printer returns to cordless operation.

  • OfficeJet 200 / 250 / 252 series fit: These models share the same 11.1V three-cell Li-ion architecture, identical connector pinout, and the same BMS handshake protocol — so one battery services the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the printer's startup sequence — motor drive, printhead heating element, and wireless radio all active simultaneously. The BMS held without tripping the overcurrent threshold during the peak draw at job start.
  • First print cycle preparation: Charge this battery to full before running the first print job. The heating element and feed motor pull peak current at startup — a partially charged cell can trip the BMS before the first page clears the tray.

WiFi dropping mid-job on the OfficeJet 250

The OfficeJet 250 runs its wireless radio, feed motor, and printhead heater off the same battery simultaneously. Under that combined draw, a degraded or low cell can't hold voltage above the radio's minimum threshold. When voltage sags, the wireless module resets to protect itself — mid-job. The fix is simple: keep the battery above 40% charge before starting multi-page wireless jobs, and let the cell rest at full charge for 30 minutes after a deep drain before printing again.

Print quality drops before the battery indicator shows low

The printhead heating element is voltage-sensitive — it needs a stable supply to reach and hold the correct firing temperature. As the cell discharges past roughly 20%, voltage sag causes the heater to undershoot, producing faded lines, streaks, or inconsistent ink placement. The battery gauge lags behind actual cell voltage under load, so the indicator can still show one bar while print quality has already degraded. Finish long print jobs before the cell drops below 20%, or recharge to at least 11.5V resting voltage before resuming.

Frequently Asked Questions

My HP OfficeJet 250 won't start a print job on the new battery — it powers on but nothing prints. What's wrong?

The feed motor and printhead heater pull peak current together at job start, and if the new battery hasn't been fully charged first, the BMS can trip that surge and kill the job before a page moves. Charge the battery completely before the first use — not just until the indicator shows full, but a full uninterrupted charge cycle. Once charged, retry the print job. If it still stalls, check that the battery is firmly seated and the connector pins are making contact.

My OfficeJet 200 keeps jamming paper, but only when the battery is low. Is that a printer fault or a battery issue?

That's a battery issue. The feed motor relies on stable voltage to maintain the torque needed to pull paper through the path cleanly. As cell voltage drops, motor torque reduces and the paper stalls or skews — triggering the jam sensor. It's not a mechanical fault. Recharge the battery above 50% and the jams will stop. Avoid running print jobs when the indicator is below one bar.

The OfficeJet 252 battery drains noticeably faster after sitting unused for a few weeks. Is the new cell faulty?

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage — the OfficeJet 252 also draws a small standby current when the battery is seated, which accelerates that drain. A cell that's been sitting at a low state of charge for weeks can appear to hold less capacity until it's been through one or two full charge-discharge cycles. Run two complete cycles — charge to full, print until the low-battery warning triggers, then recharge fully. Capacity should recover to rated levels after that.
