This is an 11.55V, 5900mAh (68.15Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the HP Omen 15-EK0004TX and related Omen 15-EK0000 series laptops. It replaces OEM part numbers SD06XL, HSTNN-DB9U, HSTNN-089U, L84356-2C1, and L84392-005. The connector, BMS pinout, and cell chemistry match the original HP specification.
- Omen 15-EK0000 series fit: These laptops share the same bottom chassis layout, six-cell Li-Polymer format, and BMS handshake protocol across the EK0004TX, EK0011TX, EK0058TX, and adjacent SKUs — the same SD06XL part number covers all of them without modification.

My Omen 15-EK stopped charging above 80% after I installed the new battery — what is wrong?
Nothing is wrong with the cell. HP BIOS on Omen 15-EK series includes a firmware-controlled charge limit that caps charging at 80% when Battery Health Manager is active — this setting persists across a battery swap because it lives in BIOS, not the battery. Open HP Command Center, go to Power, and set Battery Health Manager to "Full Charge." The laptop will then charge to 100%.
