Replaces HTC OEM part numbers 35H00190-00M, 35H00190-02M, 35H00190-03M, and BJ39100 for Desire V and Desire VC smartphones.
3.7V, 1600mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 5.92Wh to restore full-day runtime on the Desire V platform.
Connector slides straight into the original battery slot with no locking tab; orientation marked on cell housing.
Bench testing showed clean BMS handshake on first insertion with zero fault codes; fuel gauge IC accepted the new discharge curve.
On first full cycle after installation, allow one complete discharge-to-shutdown and recharge without removing the battery — this resets the fuel gauge calibration against the new cell voltage signature and prevents false low-battery shutdowns at 20-30% capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

HTC Desire V / Desire VC — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (35H00190-00M)

This is a 3.7V, 1600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the HTC Desire V, Desire VC, T328W, T328d, and related models. It cross-references OEM part numbers 35H00190-00M, 35H00190-02M, BJ39100, BL11100, and BA S800. Fits the original battery slot without modification.

  • Desire V / VC platform fit: The Desire V (T328W) and Desire VC (T328d) share the same battery bay dimensions and connector pinout. Both run off the same 3.7V nominal rail with identical BMS handshake requirements, which is why they share the same OEM part numbers across all three hardware revisions.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on Desire V hardware. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake without fault flags, held voltage above 3.5V under combined screen and radio load, and tripped protection correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after install: On first use, let the phone discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before using it again. The Desire V's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — one full cycle resets the coulomb counter against the new cell so percentage readings are accurate.

Why the Desire V reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Desire V uses a coulomb-counter fuel gauge IC that tracks charge state relative to a stored discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual cell chemistry and impedance. The IC continues referencing old data, so the percentage shown on screen drifts from true state of charge. One complete discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the IC to relearn the curve against the new cell. After that cycle, percentage accuracy stabilises.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% remaining on the replacement cell

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet recalibrated and the phone hits the cell's actual voltage cliff before the displayed percentage reflects it. Under combined modem, display, and GPS load, a freshly installed cell can drop voltage faster than the old curve predicts — the hardware voltage cutoff fires at around 3.2V before the OS has a chance to trigger a graceful shutdown. The phone cuts out hard even though the screen showed 25%. Complete one full discharge-charge cycle and the shutdown threshold will align with the displayed percentage.

Frequently Asked Questions

My HTC Desire V won't turn on at all after sitting in a drawer for months — is the new battery dead or is something else going on?

If the phone sat discharged long enough, the replacement cell's BMS may have tripped into lockout mode after the cell voltage dropped below 2.5V. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs time to trickle current into a locked-out cell before the BMS will release and allow normal charging. If the charging LED comes on within that window, the cell is recovering; if nothing happens after 45 minutes on a known-good charger, check that the battery contacts are seated fully.

The Desire V feels warm near the battery during the first few charges after I installed the replacement — should I be worried?

A new Li-ion cell typically has slightly higher internal impedance than a cell that has been through several cycles. The charge IC pushes current into that higher-resistance cell, and the extra energy dissipates as heat. This is normal for the first two to three charge cycles and the warmth should reduce noticeably by the third full charge. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or the case distorts anywhere near the battery bay, stop charging and inspect the cell seating — a misaligned contact can cause uneven current draw.

The battery percentage on my Desire V jumps around erratically — it was at 60%, then jumped to 80%, then dropped to 40% within a few minutes.

This is the fuel gauge IC cycling through stored reference points that no longer match the new cell's discharge curve. The IC is essentially guessing between old calibration checkpoints. Run one complete uninterrupted discharge — let the phone shut itself off at 0% — then charge straight to 100% without unplugging mid-cycle. That single full cycle gives the coulomb counter enough data to rebuild its reference curve against the new cell, and the erratic jumping stops after that.
