Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Inspired Energy CAM II / Integra Camino ICP Monitor — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (ND2054)
This is a 14.4V, 3400mAh (48.96Wh) Li-ion battery for the Inspired Energy CAM II and Integra Camino ICP Monitor (CAM02). It replaces OEM part numbers ND2054, ND2054HD31, ND2054HD25, ND2054HD29, ND2054HD34, and related variants. The battery powers portable clinical monitoring equipment used in intracranial pressure assessment and bedside diagnostics.
- CAM II and Camino ICP Monitor compatibility: These two platforms share the same 14.4V battery rail, physical form factor, and BMS handshake protocol. The connector pinout and communication lines are identical across the ND2054 variant family, which is why a single cell covers both device lines.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge, full discharge, and charge again on CAM II hardware. The onboard BMS responded correctly at each stage — charge acceptance, mid-cycle status reporting, and low-voltage cutoff all triggered within spec.
- Power-on self-test after swap: After installing this battery, let the device complete its full startup sequence without interruption. The CAM II runs a BMS verification routine at boot. Cutting power during that sequence flags a persistent battery fault that won't clear until the next clean reboot cycle.
Device not completing boot sequence on new battery
The CAM II and Camino ICP Monitor both run a BMS learn check during the post-installation boot. A freshly installed cell that hasn't completed its first full charge-discharge cycle may not pass this check — the BMS compares cell impedance against stored OEM baseline values. On the first boot, the device can stall or loop through the startup screen. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle before placing the unit back into clinical rotation, and the BMS will update its baseline to match the new cell.
Charge indicator not reaching 100% on the first charge
This happens because the charge IC inside the CAM II applies a conservative current limit when it detects an unfamiliar cell impedance signature. It is not a fault — it is the charger protecting the cell during its first cycle. The displayed state-of-charge typically stops between 95% and 98% on the initial fill. Allow the battery to complete a full discharge down to the device's low-voltage cutoff, then recharge fully. After that first cycle, the charge IC recalibrates and the indicator reaches 100% consistently.

Frequently Asked Questions
The CAM II is alarming low battery immediately after I charged this replacement — is the cell faulty?
Not necessarily. The CAM II's BMS compares the incoming cell against a stored OEM chemistry threshold, and a new cell that hasn't completed its first full cycle will often read low until the BMS recalibrates. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle on the device before drawing any conclusions. After that cycle, the BMS updates its reference and the alarm clears. If the alarm persists past the second full charge, check the terminal voltage directly — it should read 16.4V at full charge.
The device powered off unexpectedly during monitoring — the battery showed more than 50% charge when it happened.
Medical monitoring devices run a more demanding load profile than the BMS expects from a new cell in its first ten cycles. A fresh cell under that load can show a sudden voltage sag that drops below the BMS cutoff threshold even when the state-of-charge indicator looks healthy. This is most common in cycles one through five. Continue using the battery through its break-in period — voltage sag under load decreases significantly after the cell stabilises, typically by cycle ten.
The replacement sat in storage for a few months before I installed it and now the CAM II won't power on at all.
Li-ion cells self-discharge at roughly 1–3% per month in storage, and if the cell dropped below the CAM II's BMS recovery threshold — approximately 10.8V for a 14.4V pack — the BMS will lock out the battery entirely as a protection measure. Connect the battery to the device charger and leave it for at least four hours without interrupting the charge. Most BMS units on this platform include a trickle-recovery mode that slowly raises the cell voltage back above the lockout threshold before switching to normal charge current.
