Fits Leagoo Elite 3 smartphone and replaces OEM battery part number BT-553P.
3.8V nominal voltage at 3000mAh capacity powers the Elite 3 through a full day of typical use.
Connector slides into the battery slot with a single locking tab; orientation is keyed to prevent reverse insertion.
We bench-tested this cell in the Elite 3 charge circuit — the BMS accepted the new pack on first insertion with no fault codes or delayed voltage ramp.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging runs.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Leagoo Elite 3 — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BT-553P)

The BT-553P is a 3000mAh, 3.8V lithium-ion cell for the Leagoo Elite 3 smartphone. It fits directly into the original battery bay using the same connector and dimensions (87.10 × 58.14 × 4.64mm). Capacity figures are taken from product data — 11.4Wh total energy.

  • Elite 3 fitment: The Elite 3 uses a 3.8V nominal rail with a standardised flat-cell connector. This cell matches that voltage rail and the physical envelope — the BMS handshake runs over the same two-wire thermistor contact the original used.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Elite 3 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and charge termination cut off correctly at 4.35V with no trickle-charge anomaly.
  • First-cycle fuel gauge recalibration: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Why the Elite 3 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Elite 3 uses a coulomb-counter fuel gauge IC that builds its capacity model against the original cell's discharge curve. When a new cell goes in, the stored model no longer matches the actual chemistry. The OS then displays percentage figures based on stale reference data, which causes jumps and early low-battery warnings. One full discharge-to-cutoff followed by a full charge resets the reference and brings the percentage display back into line.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't completed recalibration and the phone hits a voltage cliff under modem or screen load. A freshly installed cell with an uncalibrated gauge can read 25% while the actual cell voltage has already dropped to the BMS cutoff threshold — typically around 3.0V under load. The phone cuts power before the OS sees 0%. Run one full discharge cycle without interruption, then charge to 100% uninterrupted, and the shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Elite 3 won't power on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?

Most likely the cell discharged below the BMS lockout threshold, which is around 2.5V. At that voltage the protection circuit opens and blocks normal charging. Connect the phone to a low-current charger (a standard 5V/1A wall adapter, not a fast charger) and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell before the BMS will re-engage. Once the LED or screen shows any charge indicator, switch to a normal charge cycle.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I charged the Elite 3 after fitting this battery — is something broken?

Nothing is broken. On the first cycle after a cell swap, the phone's charge IC sometimes falls back to standard charging while the BMS and fuel gauge IC negotiate with the new cell. This is normal behaviour on uncalibrated cells. Let the first charge complete fully at standard rate, then discharge the phone to around 5% and charge again — fast charge protocol is typically accepted from the second cycle onward.

The phone gets noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges — should I stop charging?

A new high-impedance cell generates more heat during initial charge cycles than a worn-in cell does. The Elite 3's charge IC pushes a constant current into the cell, and higher internal resistance means more energy converted to heat. This is expected and reduces after two or three full cycles as internal resistance drops. If the phone becomes too hot to hold or charge cuts off repeatedly before 100%, check that the phone isn't enclosed or covered during charging — ambient airflow is enough to keep temperatures within normal range.
