This is a 3.2V, 1400mAh LiFePO4 cell for the Leifheit Dryclean 510 cordless handheld vacuum. It fits models 51000, 51000 II. generace, 51002, and 51113, among others. Capacity and voltage match the original specification exactly.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the Dryclean 510
This happens when the filter is partially blocked and the motor is drawing above its rated current to compensate. The BMS reads overcurrent before the cell voltage actually drops to the low indicator threshold, so the vacuum feels weak while the gauge still shows charge. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction recovers immediately, the cell was not the issue. If suction remains weak after a clean filter, the cell has lost enough capacity that voltage sags under load even at a nominal 3.2V.
Motor cuts out mid-use and then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. On the Dryclean 510, a blocked nozzle or clogged filter causes the motor to spike current hard enough to trip the protection circuit. The BMS resets after a brief thermal settle, which is why the vacuum restarts without intervention. Clear the blockage and check the filter before fitting a new cell — swapping the battery will not fix a motor working against a restriction. If the cutout persists on a clean filter with a fresh cell, the motor brushes need inspection.

My Leifheit 51000 loses suction halfway through a clean but the battery light still shows full — is the battery failing?
Not necessarily the battery. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more than its rated current, causing voltage sag under load even when the cell is reasonably charged. Clean the filter thoroughly and test again — if suction restores straight away, the cell is likely fine. If sag continues on a clean filter, measure open-circuit cell voltage after a full charge; a healthy LiFePO4 cell should read 3.60–3.65V.
The Dryclean 510 motor cuts out after a few seconds of use, then starts again on its own — what's happening?
That restart pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip resetting itself after the current spike drops. On handheld vacuums like the 51000, a blocked nozzle or full dust chamber is the usual trigger — the motor strains against the restriction, current spikes, and the protection circuit opens. Clear any blockage and empty the chamber before suspecting the battery. If it still trips on a clear nozzle with a new cell, check whether the filter has collapsed and is restricting internal airflow.
The Dryclean 510 has noticeably less power than when it was new, even with a replacement cell fitted — what causes that?
Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of accelerated capacity fade on these vacuums. Even though LiFePO4 chemistry handles trickle charge better than standard Li-ion, leaving the unit docked indefinitely still compresses usable capacity over time. With the new cell, charge to full and remove the vacuum from the dock rather than leaving it plugged in between uses. Capacity should stabilise — if it continues to fade within the first 20 cycles, verify the charger output voltage matches the 3.65V LiFePO4 charge termination voltage.
