7.72V and 4800mAh capacity delivers 37.06Wh — enough to sustain full CPU and display load across typical workday cycles.
Connector seats flush into the V330-14 battery slot with locking tab engagement; no force required for seat or removal.
We bench-tested this cell against the V330-14 dock — BMS handshake completed on first insertion, voltage curve stable under sustained 15W draw, no early cutoff.
After installation, run one full discharge to sleep mode then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears incorrect health warnings that appear after every cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo V330-14 Series — 7.72V Li-ion Replacement Battery (L17M2PB5)

This is a 7.72V, 4800mAh (37.06Wh) Li-ion cell for the Lenovo V330-14 notebook. It fits the V330-14IKB and related IKB variants listed under OEM part numbers L17C2PB5, L17L2PB5, L17M2PB5, 5B10P98182, and several adjacent SKUs. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge or the laptop has lost portability entirely.

  • V330-14IKB platform fit: All V330-14IKB variants share the same two-cell 7.72V architecture and a single connector pinout. The BMS handshake across these SKUs is identical, so one replacement cell covers the full IKB sub-family without adapter or modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and full-load discharge on a V330-14IKB unit. The BMS accepted the cell on first insertion, reported state-of-charge correctly, and held the charge limit without tripping an overcurrent fault under sustained CPU and display load.
  • Post-install discharge cycle on the V330-14: After fitting, run a single full discharge until the laptop hibernates on its own, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. The V330-14 BIOS uses this cycle to reset its battery learn table — skip it and the fuel gauge will read inaccurately for weeks.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell

The V330-14 BIOS stores charge history and health metrics in EEPROM tied to the original cell. When a new cell arrives, those values no longer match the actual chemistry, so the BIOS flags health as poor or unknown — even though the cell is brand new. This is not a fault with the replacement. Running one complete discharge-to-hibernate followed by a full uninterrupted charge lets the BIOS rewrite its learn table against the new cell's actual voltage curve. After that single cycle, the health warning clears and the fuel gauge tracks correctly.

Laptop shuts down abruptly at 20–30% charge shown on the V330-14

This happens when the cell can no longer sustain voltage under the combined draw of full CPU load and the display backlight — the voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold faster than the fuel gauge can track it. The gauge shows 20–30% remaining because it is reading a rested-cell estimate, not a live load-adjusted voltage. On an aged original cell this is a sign of cell failure; on a replacement cell it usually means the BIOS learn cycle has not been completed yet. Run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge to 100%, and check whether the shutdown point moves — if it does not, verify the resting open-circuit voltage sits at or above 7.6V after a full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

My V330-14 is showing the new battery as "0% available (plugged in, not charging)" — is the cell dead on arrival?

Almost certainly not. The V330-14 sometimes holds the charge circuit open after a cell swap because the BIOS still holds EEPROM data from the old battery. Remove the AC adapter, hold the power button for 15 seconds to drain residual board voltage, then reconnect AC and power on. If the charge LED activates and the percentage begins climbing, the cell is fine — the BIOS just needed to re-initialise against the new cell's voltage level.

Windows is showing the wrong Wh rating for this battery — it says 35Wh but the spec says 37.06Wh. Why?

The Wh figure Windows displays is pulled from the EEPROM embedded in the battery pack, which stores the rated design capacity at the time of manufacture. The actual measured capacity at full charge can differ slightly from that figure due to cell production tolerances. A 2Wh gap between the EEPROM value and the datasheet spec is within normal variance and does not indicate a fault. Check the reported full-charge capacity instead — it should read at or close to 4800mAh after the first completed learn cycle.

After swapping the battery, the V330-14 fuel gauge jumps around wildly — it reads 75%, then 90%, then 60% within minutes.

The fuel gauge IC on the V330-14 calibrates its state-of-charge algorithm against charge and discharge curves it has recorded over time. With a new cell, those stored curves no longer match, so the gauge interpolates badly and produces erratic readings. This corrects itself over two to three complete charge-discharge cycles. Run the laptop on battery until it hibernates, charge fully to 100%, and repeat — by the third cycle the gauge IC will have enough data points from the new cell to report accurately. Do not rely on the percentage reading during these calibration cycles.
