Fits LG PH150 and PH150G portable projectors; replaces OEM battery part number EAC64198201.
Outputs 7.4V at 2600mAh (19.24Wh) — sufficient capacity to power the LED lamp and control board through standard presentation sessions on eco brightness.
Connector slides into the projector base with a single locking tab; orientation is keyed and will not seat if reversed.
We bench-tested this cell in a PH150G unit; the BMS accepted charge without fault codes and held voltage stable under lamp load.
On first insertion, power on the projector in eco mode — the internal charger may request a contact reseat if it shows a fault light before accepting the new cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LG PH150 / PH150G Portable Projector — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (EAC64198201)

This 7.4V, 2600mAh Li-ion battery replaces OEM part EAC64198201 in the LG PH150 and PH150G portable LED projectors. It slots into the same battery bay as the original and connects to the projector's onboard BMS through the same multi-pin interface. Voltage and capacity match the original cell specification exactly.

  • PH150 and PH150G compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — one cell fits either unit without modification or adapters.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the battery through charge and discharge cycles on the PH150 platform. The BMS handshake completed correctly, charge termination triggered at the right voltage, and the projector reported battery status accurately through all states.
  • Lamp brightness and draw management: Set the PH150 to eco brightness mode when running on battery. Full brightness draws 30–40% more current from the cell than eco mode — the projector's LED driver pulls harder, which stresses the cell and reduces available runtime without a visible quality difference in most presentation environments.

Why the PH150 shuts off before the battery indicator reaches empty

The PH150's LED lamp assembly requires a minimum supply voltage to sustain stable light output — typically above the battery's official low-voltage cutoff. When the cell voltage drops under load to that lamp threshold, the projector kills power to the lamp even though the battery gauge still shows remaining charge. This is a firmware-level protection to prevent an unstable lamp arc, not a fault in the battery. It becomes more noticeable in cold environments or with an aged cell that sags harder under the lamp's current draw.

Battery shows full charge but projector won't start

This usually means the BMS has entered a protection state — often triggered by a deep discharge that dropped cell voltage below the recovery threshold. The projector's charge circuit may not supply enough current to wake a deeply discharged cell on its own. Connect the projector to mains power and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on; the charger needs time to trickle-charge the cell back above approximately 3.0V per cell (6.0V pack) before the BMS unlocks normal operation. If the battery still shows no response after that, check the connector pins for oxidation and reseat the pack firmly.

Frequently Asked Questions

My LG PH150 keeps shutting off mid-presentation even though the battery bar isn't empty — what's happening?

The PH150's lamp needs a minimum voltage to stay on, and that threshold sits above the battery's empty marker. When the cell sags under load — especially at higher brightness — the projector cuts power to the lamp before the gauge hits zero. Switch to eco brightness mode to reduce current draw and keep the cell voltage above that lamp cutoff threshold for longer.

The PH150 is charging but the lamp looks noticeably dimmer on battery than when plugged into mains — is the battery faulty?

It's not a fault. The PH150 firmware deliberately reduces lamp power when running on battery to manage current draw from the cell. This is normal behaviour and happens with both new and original batteries. If brightness seems lower than expected even on mains after reinserting a freshly charged battery, check that the projector is not still in eco mode from a previous battery session.

The PH150 started taking much longer to charge than it used to — what causes that?

A significantly longer charge time usually means the cell is accepting lower current, which happens when the BMS detects cell voltage has dropped too far and forces the charger into trickle mode. Leave the projector connected to mains without switching it on — trickle mode needs uninterrupted time to bring the cell back above roughly 6.0V before the BMS allows fast-charge current. If charge time has crept up gradually over weeks, the cell has likely aged past the point where capacity can be restored and a replacement cell is the correct next step.
