Fits Logitech UE Mobile Boombox and replaces OEM part 533-000079.
Delivers 3.7V at 1100mAh—matched capacity restores full speaker runtime without firmware resets.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with no rotation; locking tab seats flush against the housing.
We bench-tested with the Logitech charger; BMS accepted input on first cycle and held voltage under sustained playback draw.
Discharge the pack to below 20% once monthly before recharging to prevent fuel gauge drift and shallow-cycle fade.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Logitech UE Mobile Boombox / S-00120 / X100 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (533-000079)

This is a 3.7V 1100mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Logitech UE Mobile Boombox, S-00120, and X100 portable Bluetooth speakers. It replaces OEM part number 533-000079. The cell measures 52.70 × 33.80 × 6.00mm and fits the original battery slot without modification.

  • UE Mobile Boombox, S-00120, and X100 fitment: All three models share the same 3.7V single-cell Li-Polymer architecture, the same 533-000079 OEM part number, and the same physical connector orientation — so one replacement cell covers the entire platform.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the UE Mobile Boombox. The BMS accepted the cell cleanly, fuel gauge registered correctly from the first cycle, and the amplifier rail held stable voltage under high-volume audio draw.
  • Fuel gauge reset after swap: After fitting this battery, run the speaker to below 15% charge before plugging in — do not top it off immediately. Skipping this step causes the fuel gauge to read incorrectly and the speaker may shut down early even when charge remains in the cell.

Bluetooth dropping at high volume on the UE Mobile Boombox

At maximum volume, the amplifier and Bluetooth radio draw current simultaneously. On a degraded or deeply discharged cell, this combined load causes a voltage sag that briefly pulls the supply below the radio module's operating threshold. The Bluetooth stack interprets this as a link loss and disconnects. The fix is a healthy cell that can sustain the peak current — once this replacement battery is fully cycled in, the sag under combined load drops significantly and the dropouts stop.

Audio distorting before the battery indicator reaches empty

This happens when the cell's internal resistance has risen enough that voltage sags under amplifier load even though the reported charge level still looks acceptable. The amplifier clips because its supply voltage has dropped below the headroom it needs for clean output — the distortion you hear is not a speaker driver problem. Replacing the cell resolves this immediately. After fitting this battery, confirm the speaker reads 3.7V nominal at rest using a USB load tester or by checking the first full charge cycle completes without early termination.

Frequently Asked Questions

My UE Mobile Boombox shows a full charge but cuts out after about an hour — is that a battery fault or a speaker fault?

That pattern points to fuel gauge drift, not a speaker fault. When a Li-Polymer cell is repeatedly topped off before dropping below 50%, the gauge loses calibration and reports full charge while actual usable capacity is well below spec. Replace the battery and then run it down below 15% before the first recharge — this lets the BMS recalibrate the gauge against the real cell capacity.

The speaker gets noticeably warm inside the fabric housing during long play sessions — should I be worried?

Some warmth is normal because the amplifier and battery discharge heat are both trapped inside the fabric enclosure. What is not normal is heat you can feel through the housing within the first 20 minutes of play at moderate volume — that indicates a cell with elevated internal resistance converting excess energy to heat rather than powering the amplifier. Fit the replacement cell and check: after 30 minutes at 70% volume, the housing should feel slightly warm, not hot to the touch.

The UE Mobile Boombox won't respond at all when I plug in USB to charge after leaving it sitting for months — how do I wake it up?

A deeply discharged Li-Polymer cell drops below the minimum voltage USB charging circuits will accept — typically around 2.5V — and the charger sees the pack as absent or faulty. Try a dedicated Li-Po recovery charger set to 3.7V at 100mA for 10–15 minutes to bring the cell back above the USB acceptance threshold. If the cell recovers past 3.0V it is worth continuing the charge cycle; if it stays below 2.8V after that trickle charge, the cell is unrecoverable and needs replacing.
