This is an 11.55V, 7800mAh (90.09Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Mechrevo Code 01 laptop. It replaces the original cell when the factory pack loses capacity or stops holding a charge. The battery installs directly into the Code 01 chassis and connects to the existing BMS circuit.

  • Code 01 compatibility: The Code 01 uses a three-cell Li-Polymer arrangement at 11.55V nominal. Swapping a cell at a different voltage or connector pinout causes the BMS to reject charging. This battery matches the original voltage rail and connector to avoid that rejection.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full charge and controlled discharge passes. The BMS held cell balancing within expected range and the protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff without a premature shutdown.
  • Post-install calibration cycle: After fitting this battery, run one full discharge until the laptop hibernates, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.

BIOS reporting poor battery health after fitting a new cell

The BIOS stores historical charge data in EEPROM from the original cell. When a new cell arrives, that stored data no longer matches actual capacity, so the system flags health as poor or unknown. This is a data mismatch, not a battery fault. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate then a full uninterrupted charge forces the BIOS to rewrite the learn-cycle data against the new cell.

Laptop shuts down abruptly at 20–30% battery shown

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. The gauge reads 25% remaining, but the actual cell voltage is already dropping below the BMS protection threshold under CPU and display load. The BMS cuts power to protect the cell before the OS can trigger a graceful shutdown. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate cycles back-to-back — this forces the fuel gauge IC to remap its voltage-to-percentage curve against the new cell, and the shutdowns stop.

The Mechrevo Code 01 shows the new battery as 0% or "unknown" in Windows — is the cell dead on arrival?

The old cell's EEPROM data is still sitting in the BIOS, and the new cell doesn't match it, so the OS fuel gauge reports 0% or unknown. The cell itself is fine. Boot into Windows, let the laptop drain fully until it hibernates, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that cycle, the BIOS rewrites its learn data and the gauge reads correctly.

System info shows this battery at a different Wh rating than the 90.09Wh on the listing — why does Windows show something else?

Windows pulls the Wh figure from EEPROM data written by the original cell. Until the BIOS completes a learn cycle against the new cell, it displays the old cell's rated Wh rather than the actual chemistry value. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate then a full charge to 100%. The BIOS recalculates and updates the Wh figure in system info to reflect the new cell.

Charge stops climbing and sits stuck well below 100% after installing the replacement — what's blocking it?

Check the Mechrevo power management utility and Windows Battery settings first — Code 01 firmware supports a BIOS-controlled charge limit, often set to 80% by default to reduce cell wear. If that setting is active, it caps charging at that threshold regardless of which cell is fitted. Open the Mechrevo Control Centre or BIOS power settings and set the charge ceiling to 100%.
