Fits Meizu Meilan Max and replaces OEM battery BS25.
3.85V and 4100mAh capacity restores full charge cycles on this mid-range Android device.
Connector slides straight into the slot with no locking tab — orientation matters on insertion.
We bench-tested the cell against the fuel gauge IC; BMS accepted charge without fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one full discharge-charge cycle so the coulomb counter recalibrates against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

MeiZu Meilan Max / M3 Max — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BS25)

The BS25 is a 3.85V, 4100mAh Li-Polymer cell that fits the MeiZu Meilan Max, M3 Max, S685Q, and S685Q Dual SIM TD-LTE. It replaces the original battery when the device no longer holds charge or shuts down unexpectedly. Dimensions are 88.50 × 68.60 × 3.80 mm — measure your original before installing.

  • Meilan Max and M3 Max platform fit: These models share the same internal battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol, which is why a single BS25 cell covers the full S685Q range including Dual SIM and TD-LTE variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the BS25 through full charge and discharge on the Meilan Max platform. The BMS accepted charge normally, protection cutoffs triggered correctly at the low-voltage threshold, and the cell held stable voltage under sustained screen and modem load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BS25 replacement cell

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still mapped to the old cell's discharge curve. The new cell hits a voltage cliff under modem or display load at a point the gauge reads as 20–30% remaining. The phone interprets the voltage drop as a fault and cuts power before the gauge reaches zero. Run one full discharge to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the coulomb counter against the actual cell curve.

USB fast charge not accepted on the first cycle after replacement

On the first charge cycle, the charge IC may reject the fast-charge handshake because the BMS presents an unfamiliar impedance profile from a new, uncycled cell. The phone defaults to standard 5V charging as a protection measure. Charge fully once at standard rate, disconnect, then reconnect — on the second cycle the charge IC typically negotiates fast charge correctly. If it still fails, check the cable and adapter separately before assuming a BMS fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Meilan Max shuts off at around 25% after fitting the BS25 — is the battery faulty?

It is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve from the old cell, so it misreads where the new cell's voltage cliff falls under modem and screen load. The phone cuts out to protect itself before the gauge hits zero. Run one full discharge to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption — the coulomb counter resets against the new cell and the early shutdowns stop.

The phone feels warm near the battery area on the first few charges with the new BS25 — should I be concerned?

Mild warmth on the first two or three cycles is normal. A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more energy as heat during the initial cycles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or the charge IC throttles down, remove the case and charge in a cooler environment. By the third full cycle, impedance drops and the warmth should be negligible.

The battery percentage jumps erratically — sometimes gaining 5% without charging — after I installed the new cell. What is happening?

The fuel gauge IC is actively recalibrating its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual charge state. It was calibrated to the old degraded cell, so initial readings will be unstable. The gauge corrects itself by cross-referencing open-circuit voltage with accumulated charge data over several cycles. Complete two to three full discharge-charge cycles and the percentage readings will stabilise — check that the reported voltage at full charge is at or near 4.35V as confirmation the gauge has settled.
