Fits NEC Dterm PS111, PS3D, PSIII handsets; replaces OEM part 0231004.
3.7V, 600mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers talk time on DECT range without handset weight penalty.
Connector slides into handset battery slot with spring-tab locking — no tool required.
We bench-tested charge acceptance on a PS111 base station; BMS accepted full 4.2V float without fault codes.
After install, place handset in base for 16 hours before first use — Li-Polymer packs need slow initial charge to reach rated capacity on DECT systems.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

NEC Dterm PS111 / PS3D / PSIII — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (0231004)

This 3.7V, 600mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original power cell in the NEC Dterm PS111, PS3D, and PSIII cordless handsets. It fits directly where the original sat, using the same footprint at 49.92 × 23.90 × 6.50mm. OEM part numbers covered include 0231004, 0231005, and NG-070737-002.

  • PS111, PS3D, and PSIII compatibility: These three Dterm handsets share the same battery bay dimensions and 3.7V supply rail. The connector pinout and cell footprint are identical across the range, so one cell covers all three models without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a Dterm handset. The protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff, and the base station accepted a charge cycle without reporting a fault.
  • First-charge procedure for Li-Polymer cordless handsets: Li-Polymer cells shipped at storage charge need a full uninterrupted charge before first use. Seat the handset in the base and leave it undisturbed until the charge indicator clears — pulling it off early during the initial cycle can set a false capacity ceiling in the handset's charge tracking.

Talk time shorter than expected after fitting a new cell

A fresh Li-Polymer cell rarely hits rated capacity on the first cycle. The handset's fuel gauge was calibrated to the old, degraded cell, so it misreads the new one low. Run two to three full charge-and-discharge cycles through normal use, letting the handset run down before returning it to the base each time. After three cycles, the gauge recalibrates and talk time stabilises near the rated 600mAh capacity.

Handset loses DECT pairing after battery replacement

Removing the battery cuts all power to the handset, including the memory that stores base station pairing data on some Dterm models. If the handset shows "no base" or fails to ring after a swap, the pairing has been lost. Re-register the handset from the base station menu — on most Dterm systems this is done by holding the registration button on the base for three seconds while the handset is powered on. The handset will reconnect once the base acknowledges the new registration.

Frequently Asked Questions

My NEC Dterm handset battery drains completely overnight even when it's sitting in the base — is the new cell faulty?

This is almost always a seating issue, not a faulty cell. If the handset isn't fully clicked down into the cradle, the charging contacts don't make clean contact and the handset runs on battery overnight instead of drawing from the base. Press the handset firmly into the base until it seats, then check that the charge indicator light activates. If the light still doesn't come on, clean the gold contacts on both the handset and base with a dry cloth and reseat.

The base station charge light is flashing red and won't accept the new battery — what's happening?

A Li-Polymer cell that has sat in storage can arrive at a voltage the base station's charger rejects as too low to begin a standard charge cycle. The base interprets this as an error rather than a flat battery. Leave the handset seated in the base for 30 to 60 minutes without disturbing it — most Dterm chargers will trickle current at low voltage until the cell rises above the acceptance threshold, at which point the normal charge cycle begins and the error light clears.

The handset signal drops and calls cut out near rooms where the old battery never had a problem — why does range seem shorter after fitting this replacement?

Range reduction after a battery swap usually points to the cell voltage sagging under the RF transmit load rather than a physical range issue. During a call, the transmitter draws a short burst of current — if the cell has not yet completed its first full charge cycle, it can't sustain the voltage needed and the handset reduces transmit power or drops the call. Complete two full charge cycles before judging range performance; the cell needs those cycles to reach stable output voltage under load.
