Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

NGM WeMove Miracle — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V 1500mAh Li-ion battery for the NGM WeMove Miracle smartphone. It replaces the original cell when the existing battery degrades, swells, or can no longer hold a usable charge. Capacity figures come from product data: 1500mAh / 5.55Wh.

  • WeMove Miracle fit: The WeMove Miracle uses a removable slim-pack cell at 3.7V nominal. This replacement matches the original cell's dimensions (55.90 × 53.80 × 5.06mm), voltage rail, and connector orientation so it seats without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a smartphone test rig. The BMS held cutoff correctly at the low-voltage threshold and accepted a full charge without tripping protection. Capacity tracked within spec across the first three cycles.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated register.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% after fitting a new cell

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still running calibration data from the old, degraded cell. When the new cell's voltage drops under modem or screen load, the IC misreads remaining capacity and signals a shutdown before the cell is actually depleted. The fix is one full uninterrupted discharge-charge cycle without fast charging enabled. After that cycle, the coulomb counter resets against the new cell's actual discharge curve and the percentage readings stabilise.

Phone warm near the battery during the first few charges

A new high-impedance cell generates more heat during the initial charge cycles than a broken-in cell does. The charge IC has to work harder to push current into a cell it hasn't yet characterised. This is normal for the first two to three cycles and typically settles as internal resistance drops. If the phone remains unusually warm after the third full charge, check that the replacement cell is seated flat with no gap at the connector — poor contact increases resistance and sustains the heat.

Frequently Asked Questions

My NGM WeMove Miracle won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is it dead?

It's likely a BMS lockout, not a dead cell. When a Li-ion cell drops below roughly 2.5V from prolonged storage, the battery management system blocks output to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage climbs above the BMS re-enable threshold, at which point the phone should respond normally.

The battery percentage on my WeMove Miracle jumps around erratically after I fitted this cell — sometimes it goes from 60% straight to 15%

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve. The IC stored data from the old, degraded cell and those figures no longer match how this cell behaves under load. Run one complete cycle: discharge the phone until it shuts itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with fast charging off. That single cycle gives the coulomb counter enough data to reset its reference points and the percentage display will stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working on my WeMove Miracle after I swapped the battery — the phone just charges slowly now

On the first cycle after a cell swap, some charge controllers fall back to standard rate while the BMS handshake re-establishes. Complete one full charge-discharge cycle at the slow rate first. After that cycle, re-enable fast charging in the phone's settings — if the option was previously greyed out or ignored, a full restart after the cycle completes often forces the charge IC to renegotiate the protocol correctly.
