Fits Nokia Booklet 3G netbook; replaces OEM part number BC-1S.
14.8V and 3840mAh delivers the voltage and capacity this early-2010s ultraportable requires for full charge cycles.
Connector slots into the existing battery bay with standard locking tab; no adapter needed.
We bench-tested this cell on a Booklet 3G; the BMS accepted the new pack and discharged cleanly across the voltage curve.
After installation, run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears inaccurate health warnings.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Nokia Booklet 3G Series — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BC-1S)

This is a 14.8V, 3840mAh (56.83Wh) Li-ion battery for the Nokia Booklet 3G netbook, including the Blue, White, and Black colour variants. It replaces OEM part BC-1S directly. The Booklet 3G is a slim netbook from the early 2010s, and original batteries in circulation are now well past their cycle life.

  • Booklet 3G colour variants covered: The Blue, White, and Black editions share an identical battery bay geometry, the same 14.8V power rail, and the same BC-1S connector and BMS handshake — one SKU covers all three.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Booklet 3G platform. The BMS communicated correctly with the system, charge termination triggered at the expected voltage ceiling, and no fault codes were thrown during discharge.
  • Post-install calibration on the Booklet 3G: After fitting, run one full discharge down to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning the system throws after every cell swap.

Why the Booklet 3G BIOS reports poor battery health after a new cell is fitted

The Booklet 3G stores charge history in EEPROM on the old cell. When a new cell goes in, the BIOS reads stale cycle data and flags the battery as degraded — even though the cell is fresh. This is not a fault with the replacement. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge gives the fuel gauge IC a clean data set to work from. After two to three cycles, the health reading in the OS normalises.

Booklet 3G shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This happens when the old cell can no longer hold voltage under combined CPU and display load — the cell hits a voltage cliff before the fuel gauge reaches zero. If the shutdown disappears after fitting this replacement, the original cell was the cause. If the shutdown persists with the new battery, check that the BIOS is not enforcing a charge limit and confirm the cell voltage at the connector reads at or above 14.4V under load before concluding there is a deeper fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Booklet 3G is showing 0% and "unknown battery" in Windows right after I put the new cell in — is it dead?

This is the fuel gauge IC reading EEPROM data from the old cell and failing to reconcile it with the new chemistry profile. The battery is not faulty. Charge it uninterrupted to 100%, then let the laptop run down fully to hibernate cutoff — repeat this twice and the OS will recalibrate against the new cell. After two full cycles the percentage and battery identity should display correctly.

My replacement battery is only charging to about 80% and then stopping — why won't it go higher?

Some Booklet 3G units ship with a BIOS-level charge limit that caps charging below 100% to reduce cell stress during long periods on AC power. This is firmware behaviour, not a fault with the cell itself. Check the Nokia or Windows power settings for a charge threshold or battery protection setting and disable it. If no such setting exists, confirm the charger output voltage is correct before drawing any other conclusion.

The Booklet 3G shows a completely wrong Wh rating in the battery info screen after swapping cells — it says something like 48Wh when it should be 56.83Wh.

The Wh figure displayed in Windows or the BIOS is read from EEPROM data embedded in the battery pack, and the rated value stored there can differ slightly from the actual chemistry capacity of a replacement cell. This is a reporting discrepancy, not a capacity loss. The cell will still deliver its full 3840mAh — verify by running a full discharge cycle and comparing the actual run against the old battery's performance.
