Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

O2 Xda Stealth — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (XP-04)
This is a 3.7V 1400mAh Li-Polymer battery for the O2 Xda Stealth pocket PC. It replaces part numbers XP-04 and A2K40-STE090-ZOR. If your Xda Stealth no longer holds charge through a working day, this cell restores full operating capacity to the device.
- Xda Stealth platform fit: The Xda Stealth uses a Li-Polymer cell with a specific connector orientation and BMS handshake tied to the 3.7V nominal rail. This replacement matches that voltage profile and connector pinout, so the device firmware recognises the cell without errors.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge on the Xda Stealth platform and confirmed the BMS communicates correctly with the device, holds charge without premature cutoff, and reports state-of-charge accurately to the Windows Mobile battery indicator.
- Data sync before battery removal: The Xda Stealth holds open application state and unsaved files in SRAM, which is powered directly by the main battery. Before pulling the old cell, sync the device fully to your host PC via ActiveSync to avoid losing data, calendar entries, or open documents.
Why the Xda Stealth shows a low battery warning immediately after a new cell is fitted
A freshly shipped Li-Polymer cell arrives at partial state of charge — typically 40–60% — to meet transport safety requirements. The Xda Stealth reads this as a low battery condition and may warn or throttle performance before the first full charge cycle is complete. Connect the device to the charger before attempting to boot or use it. Once it reaches 4.2V at the cell terminals and the charge indicator clears, the battery indicator will report correctly.
Xda Stealth not booting after battery replacement
The Xda Stealth boot sequence requires a minimum voltage threshold at the battery terminals before the processor will initialise. If the replacement cell was too depleted on arrival, the device may show nothing on screen or flash briefly and shut down. Do not assume the battery is faulty — charge it for at least 30 minutes before the first boot attempt. If the device still will not start after a full charge, hold the hardware reset pin with a stylus to clear any corrupt boot state before powering on again.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Xda Stealth lost all my contacts and calendar after I swapped the battery — why did this happen?
The Xda Stealth stores contacts, calendar data, and open application state in SRAM, which loses its contents the moment battery power is fully removed. Unlike flash storage, SRAM needs continuous power to retain data — even a brief gap during the swap is enough to wipe it. This is not a fault with the replacement battery. Before your next swap, run a full ActiveSync sync to your host PC so all data is written to persistent storage first.
The Xda Stealth battery drains far faster when I'm using wireless sync than during normal use — is something wrong with the cell?
Nothing is wrong. The wireless radio on the Xda Stealth draws significantly more current than standby or basic PDA tasks — this is normal behaviour for the platform, not a cell defect. Li-Polymer capacity is rated under steady, low-draw conditions, so active radio use will consume charge at a much higher rate than the rated capacity implies. To get accurate battery level readings during wireless use, let the device complete a full charge to 4.2V before running a sync session.
The Xda Stealth screen comes on briefly then shuts off again — the new battery seems fully charged but it keeps doing this.
This usually means the cell voltage dropped below the device's minimum operating threshold during the boot sequence, even if the charge indicator suggested it was full. A corrupted boot state can also cause this loop after a battery swap. Hold the stylus reset pin on the back of the device for 10 seconds while the battery is installed and the charger is connected, then power on again. If the device boots and runs normally after that reset, the cell is fine — the prior shutdown corrupted the boot state, not the battery.
