Sale priceFrom $38.99 USD Regular price $47.99
Shipping calculated at checkout.
Fits Olight Baton 3, Perun Mini, and S1R Baton II flashlights; replaces OEM part IMR16340 and ORB-16C05-10C cells.
3.7V nominal, 680mAh capacity delivers 2.52Wh energy per charge cycle for compact single-cell tactical torches.
16340 form factor seats flush in the Baton 3 tube with spring-loaded positive contact at cap and negative against tailspring.
We bench-tested this cell on turbo output draw; BMS held steady voltage until final 10 percent of discharge, then stepped down as designed.
On the Baton 3, the driver will shift to lower modes at end of charge if voltage sags below 3.0V — switch manually to standard mode to extend available runtime rather than wait for automatic step-down.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Olight Baton 3 / Perun Mini / S1R Baton II — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (IMR16340)

This is a 3.7V 680mAh (2.52Wh) Li-ion IMR16340 cell for the Olight Baton 3, Perun Mini, and S1R Baton II flashlights. All three lights use the same 16340 format cell and share identical voltage and connector requirements. Capacity figure comes from the product specification — 680mAh.

  • Baton 3, Perun Mini, S1R Baton II compatibility: These three lights share the same 16340 cell format, 3.7V nominal voltage rail, and magnetic-charge contact plate. The BMS in each model targets the same charge termination voltage, so one cell specification covers all three without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Baton 3 driver board. The BMS accepted the cell cleanly, charged via the magnetic port without fault, and stepped down output correctly as voltage dropped toward the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • Single-cell replacement protocol: The Baton 3, Perun Mini, and S1R Baton II each run a single cell — so there is no multi-cell balance issue. However, do not mix this new cell with a partially discharged original in repeated hot-swap cycling. Swap fully when output noticeably drops from a known full charge.

Why the Baton 3 steps down output before the indicator signals low battery

The Baton 3 driver runs a brownout protection circuit that cuts output current before the cell voltage actually hits the hard low-voltage cutoff. This is intentional — the driver reads a voltage sag under load and steps down to protect the cell from deep discharge. You will see the light drop from turbo or high to a lower mode while the indicator still shows charge remaining. It is not a fault with the cell. The driver is reading instantaneous load voltage, not resting voltage.

Turbo mode draining the cell noticeably faster than standard or medium

Turbo mode on the Baton 3 draws significantly more current than standard or medium modes — often five to ten times the draw. A 680mAh cell handles that current, but the relationship between capacity and runtime is not linear at high draw rates. The cell's internal resistance causes a greater voltage drop under turbo current, which triggers the driver's step-down protection sooner. To extend usable time per charge, switch to high or medium for sustained use and reserve turbo for short bursts.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Baton 3 is dropping to a lower mode mid-use even though I just charged it — is the new cell faulty?

Almost certainly not. The Baton 3 driver reads instantaneous cell voltage under load, not resting voltage. At high or turbo current draws, a fresh 16340 cell still shows a temporary voltage sag, and the driver interprets that as low battery and steps down output to protect the cell. Try switching to medium mode for sustained use — if the light holds steady there, the cell is working correctly and the driver is behaving as intended.

The cell drained completely and the Baton 3 won't turn on even after placing it on the charger — how do I recover it?

A deeply discharged Li-ion cell can drop below the threshold the magnetic charger needs to initiate a charge cycle. Leave the cell on the magnetic charge contact for at least 15–20 minutes without interruption — some charger circuits trickle current into a deeply discharged cell before switching to full charge mode. If the charge indicator never activates after 30 minutes, the cell voltage has likely dropped below recoverable range (typically below 2.5V) and the cell needs replacing rather than recovery.

Why does my replacement IMR16340 feel warm after turbo use in the Baton 3?

Turbo mode pulls a high current from a small-format 16340 cell, and internal resistance converts some of that energy to heat — this is normal under sustained high-drain use. The cell and the Baton 3 body acting as a heat sink manage this within safe limits for short bursts. If the cell is getting uncomfortably hot to touch after only brief turbo use, check that the magnetic charge contacts are clean and making full contact, as a poor connection increases resistance and heat. Keep turbo use to short intervals and switch to high mode for extended output.
