Fits Packard Bell EasyNote MH35 and replaces OEM part numbers 2C.20770.001, 7813540000, 7813570000, 916C5820F, 916C5840F, SQU-701, and related variants.
Rated 11.1V and 4400mAh—this capacity sustains the MH35 chipset through full CPU and display loads without voltage sag shutdown.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single locking tab on the left side facing the hinge.
We bench tested this cell across five discharge cycles; the BMS maintained stable voltage delivery under sustained drain with no early cutoff errors.
After installation, run one full discharge to hibernation cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100%—this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Packard Bell EasyNote MH35 Series — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (2C.20770.001)

This is an 11.1V Li-ion battery rated at 4400mAh (48.84Wh), built to fit the Packard Bell EasyNote MH35, MH36, MH45, MH85, and related models. It replaces OEM part numbers including 2C.20770.001, SQU-701, and 916C5820F, among others. Install it when the original pack no longer powers the laptop away from mains.

  • MH-series platform fit: The MH35, MH36, MH45, and MH85 share the same 11.1V three-cell rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one pack covers all of them without any modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the EasyNote platform. The BMS communicated correctly with the system, and the charge controller accepted full charge without tripping a fault state.
  • First-cycle calibration on the EasyNote: After installing, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.

Why the EasyNote BIOS flags a new battery as poor health immediately after swap

The EasyNote BIOS reads health data stored in the original pack's EEPROM. When a new cell goes in, that EEPROM data is gone — the BIOS has no reference point and defaults to a "poor" or "unknown" status. This is not a fault with the replacement pack. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate then a complete uninterrupted charge gives the BIOS enough data to rewrite its internal battery profile. After one or two cycles, the health status corrects itself.

Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on the indicator

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual discharge curve. The gauge is still using parameters from the degraded original pack, so it misreads remaining capacity and triggers a low-power shutdown too early. It is not a fault in the replacement battery. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate cycles followed by uninterrupted charges to 100% — after that, the fuel gauge re-anchors its curve and the shutdown behaviour stops. Confirm calibration is complete when the system reaches hibernate at or below 5% reported charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

The EasyNote is showing the wrong Wh rating in system information after I fitted the new battery — is the pack faulty?

No — the Wh figure shown in system info is pulled from the EEPROM on the old cell, and once that cell is removed, the BIOS loses its reference. The replacement pack carries its own EEPROM data reflecting its rated chemistry, which may differ numerically from what the original reported. Run the battery learn cycle — one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then a complete charge to 100% — and the system will rewrite the battery profile with the correct 48.84Wh figure.

The fuel gauge on my EasyNote is jumping around — showing 60%, then 80%, then dropping to 40% within minutes of unplugging.

The fuel gauge IC calibrates itself against charge and discharge cycles from the previous cell. With a new pack installed, it has no accurate baseline and will produce erratic readings for the first few cycles. This is not a hardware fault. Run two complete discharge-to-hibernate cycles followed by uninterrupted charges to 100%, and the gauge will re-anchor to the new cell's actual discharge curve. After that, readings should stabilise within ±5%.

My EasyNote won't charge the new battery above 80% — it just stops and sits there.

Some EasyNote BIOS versions include a charge-limit setting that caps charging at 80% to reduce cell stress during long mains-connected use. Check the Power Management section of the BIOS setup utility — enter it at boot via F2 — and look for a battery charge threshold or conservation mode option. Disable it or set the upper limit to 100%. If no such setting exists, confirm the AC adapter output is stable at 19V, as an underpowered adapter can cause the charge controller to stop early.
