Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Panasonic WX-H3030 / Attune Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BX-B3030)
This is a 3.7V, 1050mAh Li-ion cell that replaces the OEM BX-B3030 pack in the Panasonic WX-H3030 wireless headset and the Attune 3020 and Attune 3050 systems. It also fits the WX-T3020. The cell dimensions are 53.03 × 35.55 × 7.29mm — same footprint as the original, so the pack drops into the headset housing without modification.
- WX-H3030, WX-T3020, and Attune platform fit: These models share the same BX-B3030 battery spec — same 3.7V nominal rail, same cell footprint, and the same BMS communication protocol. Swapping between any of them uses this same pack, so there is no separate variant for each headset.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on DECT headset hardware. The BMS completed its handshake with the base station correctly, the protection circuit tripped at the expected low-voltage cutoff, and the cell held within 2% of rated capacity at 1050mAh after conditioning.
- First-cycle base station conditioning: Seat the headset in the base station and let it run a full charge cycle before taking any calls. DECT base stations log the new cell during this cycle and use that data to calculate the talk-time indicator — skipping this step causes the display to show inaccurate readings for the first several uses.
Base station not recognising the new pack after install
When a new Li-ion cell ships, it arrives at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V to 3.7V, not at a full 4.2V. Some DECT base stations interpret this as a fault or an unrecognised pack and show a charging error instead of beginning the charge cycle. This is a BMS initialisation issue, not a defective battery. Place the headset in the cradle and leave it undisturbed for at least 90 minutes — the base station usually clears the error once it detects voltage rising above its recognition threshold, around 3.8V.
Headset cuts out mid-call even with a charged indicator
The WX-H3030 draws current from two loads simultaneously — the audio amplifier and the DECT radio transmitter. That combined spike can cause voltage to dip sharply, triggering the BMS low-voltage cutoff even when the charge indicator still reads partial or full. On a new cell this is most pronounced in the first three to five cycles, before the Li-ion chemistry has settled into its full capacity range. If cutouts stop after several charge cycles, no further action is needed. If they continue past five cycles, check that the headset contacts and base cradle pins are clean — oxidised contacts increase resistance and amplify the voltage sag.

Frequently Asked Questions
My base station shows a charging error after I put the new battery in — is the pack dead?
No. The cell ships at storage voltage, roughly 3.6–3.7V, and some DECT bases flag that as an unrecognised or fault condition. Leave the headset seated in the cradle undisturbed for 90 minutes. Once the BMS pushes the voltage above the base's recognition threshold (around 3.8V), the error clears and normal charging begins.
Talk time feels much shorter than rated for the first few days — is the capacity wrong?
Li-ion cells need three to five charge-discharge cycles before they reach their full rated capacity. On a fresh BX-B3030, the first couple of cycles will deliver noticeably less talk time than the 1050mAh spec suggests. Run the headset down and charge it fully at least three times. By cycle four or five, capacity stabilises and the talk-time estimate on the base display becomes accurate.
The headset gets warm on long calls — is that normal for this battery size?
The WX-H3030 housing is small, and the combined draw from the audio amplifier and DECT radio transmitter generates heat that has limited surface area to dissipate. Mild warmth during extended calls is normal. If the headset becomes hot enough to be uncomfortable, check that the headset vents are not blocked and that the battery contacts are clean — dirty contacts increase resistance and add heat. Surface temperature above 45°C during a call warrants a contact clean before using the headset again.
