Fits Pantech PN-C520 and replaces OEM part numbers PBR-C520, PBS-PC7300, and BTR7B.
This cell delivers 3.7V at 650mAh capacity, powering calls, messaging, and basic apps on compact Pantech phones.
Connector slides into the standard battery slot with positive and negative contacts aligned to the phone's internal contacts.
We ran full discharge cycles on a PN-C520 test unit; the BMS accepted the cell without fault codes or early cutoff.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Pantech PN-C520 / Breeze — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (PBR-C520)

This is a 3.7V, 650mAh Li-ion cell replacement for the Pantech PN-C520, Breeze, and PC7300. It fits the original battery slot and connects to the same charge IC the phone uses from the factory. Capacity is 650mAh — identical to the OEM spec.

  • PN-C520, Breeze, and PC7300 compatibility: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V nominal voltage rail. The BMS handshake uses the same thermistor line across all three, so the charge IC accepts this cell without prompting a fault condition.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a PN-C520 unit. The BMS accepted the cell on the first connection, the charge IC moved through trickle, bulk, and top-off phases without interruption, and the fuel gauge registered a full state of charge at completion.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC on the PN-C520 is calibrated to the discharge curve of the old cell — one full cycle lets it recalibrate against the new cell before reporting accurate percentages.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the PN-C520 after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve mapped to the old cell. When the phone reads 20–30% remaining, the new cell may already be sitting at a voltage the phone treats as critically low under modem or screen load. The processor triggers a protection shutdown before the percentage reaches zero. One full discharge-charge cycle rewrites the coulomb counter's reference points and clears this behaviour.

Phone warm near the battery compartment during the first charge

A new Li-ion cell arrives with higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. During the first bulk charge phase, the charge IC pushes current into a cell that hasn't settled to its operating impedance yet — this produces mild heat near the battery bay. It is normal for the first one or two cycles. If warmth persists beyond the second full charge, check that the phone's charge IC is not stuck in bulk phase by confirming the cell reaches 4.2V and the charging indicator clears.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Pantech Breeze is showing the wrong battery percentage after I put in the new cell — it jumped from 15% to 60% in minutes. What's going on?

The fuel gauge IC on the Breeze stores a discharge curve calibrated to your old cell. When the new cell goes in, the coulomb counter is measuring against the wrong reference and reports erratic percentages. Run one complete discharge — use the phone until it shuts off — then charge it uninterrupted to full. That single cycle gives the fuel gauge IC enough data to re-anchor its reference points to the new cell's actual discharge curve.

The PN-C520 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months. Is the cell dead?

Likely not dead — the BMS has entered lockout because the cell self-discharged below 2.5V per cell during storage. At that voltage, the protection circuit blocks output to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power it on. The charge IC will push a low trickle current into the cell to bring it above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 2.9V, at which point the phone will boot normally.

Fast charging stopped working on my PC7300 after I swapped in the new battery — it only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the BMS on a new cell may not immediately handshake with the phone's charge IC over the thermistor line. The charge IC defaults to a safe low-current rate until it confirms the cell temperature profile matches expected parameters. Complete one full standard charge cycle without interruption. On the second cycle the charge IC typically accepts the new cell's thermistor signature and restores the normal charge rate.
