Fits Poco M2 Pro, Poco M2 Pro Premium, and M2003J6CI models with OEM battery replacement.
3.85V nominal voltage, 4800mAh capacity — this Li-Polymer cell matches the original discharge curve for your device's fuel gauge IC.
Connector type is proprietary to Pocophone; orientation marked on the pack; locking tab seats flush into the battery compartment slot.
We bench-tested this cell on a Poco M2 Pro logic board; the BMS accepted voltage handshake without fault codes and discharged smoothly under typical smartphone loads.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Pocophone Poco M2 Pro / M2003J6CI — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery

This is a 3.85V, 4800mAh (18.48Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Pocophone Poco M2 Pro, Poco M2 Pro Premium, and M2003J6CI. It replaces the original cell when the phone shuts down unexpectedly, stops holding charge, or drains far faster than it used to. Dimensions are 89.10 × 64.80 × 4.65mm — confirm clearance before installation.

  • Poco M2 Pro / M2003J6CI fit: The M2 Pro and its regional M2003J6CI variant share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran charge-discharge cycles on the M2 Pro platform and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell without triggering a fault. The coulomb counter initialised correctly after the first full cycle.
  • First-cycle fast-charge caution: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and complete one full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins pushing current into an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Poco M2 Pro after a cell swap

The Poco M2 Pro's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve from the old cell after a replacement. When the modem fires or the display peaks, the new cell's actual voltage drops below the cutoff threshold faster than the gauge expects — so the phone kills power while still showing charge remaining. This is a calibration gap, not a faulty cell. Run two full discharge-charge cycles at standard rate and the coulomb counter recalibrates to the new cell's real voltage floor.

USB-PD fast charging not engaging on the first cycle after replacement

After a cell swap, the Poco M2 Pro's charge IC sometimes refuses to negotiate the fast-charge protocol on the first cycle because the BMS presents a high-impedance state on a freshly installed cell. The phone falls back to standard 5V charging as a safety measure. This is normal behaviour and resolves after one complete cycle. Once the BMS confirms cell state, fast charging re-engages automatically on the next plug-in — no settings change needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Poco M2 Pro just cut off at 27% — why does this keep happening with the new battery?

The fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve and hasn't mapped the new one yet. Under modem or display load, the replacement cell's voltage drops to the hardware cutoff before the percentage gauge catches up — so the phone shuts off mid-use. Run two full discharge-charge cycles at standard rate with fast charging disabled. After that, the coulomb counter recalibrates and the shutdowns stop.

The Poco M2 Pro battery percentage keeps jumping around erratically after I replaced the cell — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC is actively recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve and hasn't settled yet — erratic percentage readings are a symptom of that process. Charge to 100%, let it drain fully to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% again without interruption. After one or two full cycles the gauge locks on to the new curve and the readings stabilise.

Phone won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below roughly 2.5V the BMS locks out to prevent damage — the phone will show nothing when you press the power button. Plug in a known-good charger and leave it connected for 20–30 minutes at standard voltage before attempting to power on. If the BMS recovers, a charging indicator will appear. If the cell sat well below 2.5V for an extended period, recovery is not always possible and the cell should be replaced.
