Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Pure Clean PUCRC90 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 14.4V, 2600mAh lithium-ion battery for the Pure Clean PUCRC90 robotic vacuum cleaner. It slots into the PUCRC90's battery bay and restores autonomous cleaning cycles when the original cell has degraded. Voltage and connector match the OEM specification.
- PUCRC90 platform fit: The PUCRC90 runs a 14.4V motor and navigation system off a single Li-ion pack. This battery matches that voltage rail and the BMS communication the onboard controller expects from a valid cell.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the PUCRC90 platform. The BMS accepted the pack without fault codes, and the onboard controller recognised it as a valid source across the full discharge curve.
- Dock charging habit for the PUCRC90: Do not leave the PUCRC90 sitting on the dock permanently between uses. Continuous trickle charging compresses cell capacity faster than cycling the pack through full charge-and-drain sequences. Charge to full, lift it off, run it down, then dock again.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the PUCRC90
This happens when the motor is working harder than normal — usually a partially blocked filter or a restricted intake. The motor draws more current, the battery voltage sags under that load, and the controller throttles suction to protect the cell. The indicator reads remaining charge, not motor load, so it can still show mid-range while suction is already weak. Clean or replace the filter first; if suction recovers, the battery was fine — the restriction was the cause.
PUCRC90 motor cuts out mid-cycle then restarts on its own
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a total failure. When suction is sustained against a blockage — carpet fringe, debris packed at the intake — current spikes past the BMS threshold and it opens the circuit to protect the cells. The pack recovers and the motor restarts once the BMS resets. Clear any blockage at the intake, then check that the filter is clean. If cutouts continue with no visible blockage, verify the replacement pack is at or above 14.4V resting voltage before the next cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions
My PUCRC90 has a new battery in it but it won't charge — the dock light just blinks and nothing happens. What's wrong?
The PUCRC90's charger expects a BMS handshake from the pack before it starts a charge cycle. If the replacement battery arrived deeply discharged, the BMS may have locked out and the charger sees it as an invalid cell. Connect the dock and leave it for 20–30 minutes — some BMS boards recover from deep-discharge lockout with a slow trickle before the handshake completes. If the light pattern changes to a steady charge indicator, the pack has recovered; if not, check that dock contacts on both the unit and the base are clean and making firm contact.
My PUCRC90 used to clean the whole floor on one charge but with the new battery it seems to quit much earlier than it should — is the battery faulty?
A partially blocked filter is the most common cause. When airflow is restricted, the motor draws more current than the battery was sized to deliver continuously, and the BMS cuts power earlier to protect the cells. Pull the filter out and hold it to a light — if you can't see through it clearly, clean or replace it. After that, run a full charge cycle and discharge before judging the battery's capacity.
My PUCRC90 sits on the dock all week between uses and the battery has noticeably lost capacity since I installed it six months ago — what caused this?
Continuous dock charging applies a low-level trickle current to the pack even after it's full. Over months, that sustained charge state degrades cell capacity faster than normal cycling. The fix from this point forward is to remove the PUCRC90 from the dock once it reaches a full charge, run it through a cleaning cycle, then dock it again to recharge. This cycling pattern keeps the cells active and slows capacity fade significantly compared to leaving the unit docked indefinitely.
